Page Maps 13th Anniversary / Happy Times

Happy Friday, friends!  I am honored to be a part of Becky Fleck's Page Maps 13th Anniversary Celebration this month!  I have followed Becky for years...actually since I started scrapbooking back in 2006.  I have used so many of her wonderful sketches over the years, and when she asked me to participate in this, of course I said yet!  I got to meet her at Creativation this year, and she is the sweetest!

Good news...there is a HUGE prize up for grabs.  Head on over HERE to enter to win.  Just leave a comment on the Facebook post, and you could with a $100 Gift Certificate to A Cherry On Top!!  What!!  Heck yes!!

If you want to see this month's sketches, head on over HERE.  Lots of designers have layouts up with different sketches.

Here is my layout.  I have been itching to use the new Cocoa Vanilla Happiness collection, and I finally did...yay!  This layout will make more sense when you check out the sketch.  I used a lot of patterned papers at the top, which I tore instead of cut.  I love uneven messy edges.  I adhered them to white cardstock, and then did some mixed media work at the bottom half of the page.  I used lots of Shimmerz to create a watercolor effect.

I thought these photos matched this collection perfectly!  I love the florals, and I used some of those die cuts around the page.  I wanted to add some mixed media to match the patterned papers up top, so I used some pink and blue Shimmerz in a few different shades.  I added some stickers, clear stickers, die cuts and tangled thread.

I added my journaling to the right of the photos.  I added a smaller secondary title here as well.  Aren't these flowers so gorgeous?  I love the dimension of the torn papers!

I used one of the sentiment die cuts for my title and added more clear stickers and a butterfly sticker.  I also added some pretty soft pink sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps.  I decided at the end to stitch some trails behind the butterflies for added texture.

I wanted a pop of the darker blue, so some tangled thread was just the ticket.  I also tucked in a few small sentiment stickers.

Here are a few more shots of the details :)

I fussy cut this butterfly from a patterned paper and tucked it in here.  Love those bent up wings!

I hope this inspires you...I was definitely inspired by the sketch and this collection!  Be sure to hop on over to Page Maps and enter to win that amazing prize!

Here's my process video if you'd like to watch this layout come together:

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I'll see you again tomorrow for some iNSD fun!
