First Challenge Me Happy DT Reveal & Sketchy Thursdays :)

I am so excited to share my first DT reveal with the Challenge Me Happy team! This was an easy first challenge -- ANYTHING GOES! It doesn't get any easier than that, right?! I was excited to scrap these photos of Paige's first wagon ride.

I used an old KI Memories laser cut design as a mask to create my patterned background and then stitched around it.

I love my Martha Stewart score board...it makes creating these accordian flowers SO easy!

The prize for this challenge is sponsored by Mollys Scrapbooking.

Hi, my name is Lilo, and I am the owner of Mollys Scrapbooking. Mollys started as a kitclub, which I thought we needed in Sweden. The name comes from our budgie, who’s also the model for our logo!
After just a few weeks from opening our business we grew very popular, and had many customers subscribing to our kits. A lot of them wanted us to sell other products together with the kits, so they only had to visit one shop – and that’s how our online shop was born!
Now we have an online shop bursting with products, and our monthly kit club with two sorts of kits; colourful and shabby chic! Welcome to visit our shop and blog!
The winner of challenge #10 will win a fabulous Mollys kit, thanks Lilo!

Be sure to create a newly made layout for this challenge, and upload it HERE. Can't wait to see your work!!

I also wanted to share a layout I made for the latest Sketchy Thursdays sketch. It has to be one of my favorite ones to date! The banner, the bracket...all of it! I used my newest kit from Sweet Peach Crop Shop. The November Sweet Kit is loaded, and I mean LOADED with gorgeous papers from MME, Studio Calico, Crate Paper, Authentique...I almost couldn't bring myself to cut it up!

These super cute chipboard flower buttons are part of the kit.

LOVE these wooden Pink Paislee alphas! They come naked, so you can dress them up any way you want. I misted and inked this one!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll have more for you tomorrow :)

Egg Outtakes :)

I'm finally finished scrapping my Easter pics from 2010. I created this layout for ScrapFIT's Weekend Warm-Up #17 sample. The challenge is to use at least three photos in some kind of photo-strip or film strip. These are the funny outtakes of Paige sitting on the grass in the middle of some plastic eggs. I love the photos you think you'll never use! Sometimes those are the best ones :)

I used this fantastic and fun sketch by Ashley Horton.

The winner of the WWU gets to be featured in our guest FITGirl Spotlight on the ScrapFIT blog! Hop on over there and check out the challenges.

Have a great day!

Using up your scraps

Good Thursday morning to you! I wanted to share a layout I created using what was left of my October Juicy kit from Sweet Peach Crop Shop. This was the 4th layout I made, and I used a few strips from papers I had cut up and used on other layouts. Using small bits or strips is a great way to use up scraps as well as make your patterned papers last! Some papers you just love so much you don't want to use it all on one layout. That is the way I am...I try to salvage my favorite papers and use just a little here and there so I can use it on several different layouts.

I added some stitching and some of the adorable Pink Paislee hexagon chipboard shapes.

I also wanted to share with you the beautiful and gorgeous November kits!! Check these beauties out...

The Sweet Kit

The Juicy Kit...goodies for a mini-album!

The Add-On Embellishment Kit...

And a $5 surprise grab bag of goodies!! Each bag contains $25 of random scrappy goodness...don't miss out on THIS!

Head over to the Sweet Peach blog HERE and order yours today!

My Little Nugget & a fall wreath

Hi there! I have a layout and a wreath to share with you today. First up is the 2nd October sketch at Sweet Peach Crop Shop. It's a great one! I flipped it vertically and used one large photo.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout. I drew a straight-line grid and then hand stitched over it. I wanted something in the background, but nothing too busy. I hand cut a few of the beautiful flowers from the patterned paper in the October kit and added a bit of chalk color.

The latest challenge at Paper Thrills is to create a Fall wall hanging. I made a paper wreath full of leaves & accordian fan-fold flowers. They are so easy to make!

Have a great Sunday! Thanks for stopping by :)

My Mind's Eye & Scrapbookers Anonymous

I have two layouts to share today that I am entering into two different challenges. First up is my entry for the latest My Mind's Eye sketch challenge. I loved the sketch and couldn't wait to scrap these cute photos of Paige swinging! I used a felt flourish mask and mist for the background. All patterned papers and embellishments (except the alphas) are MME's Stella and Rose line. These pictures are actually from April, but the page had to relate to "fall," so I turned into a fall-ish layout.

I cut leaves from patterned paper. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but I love how they turned out. I just drew them freehand and cut them out. I inked them and scrunched them up a little and added a few lines.

Next up is the layout I created for the October challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous. This one involved using die-cuts. I have been wanting to scrap this cute picture of Paige in her monkey pajamas, and I knew I wanted to use that adorable little monkey from the Create a Critter cartridge. It almost matches perfectly! I used the ever-popular bubble wrap and paint to create my dotted background. I wanted the monkey & the photo to be the focus, so I didn't add too much else besides a few papers & flowers.

Thanks for looking! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Peach: Such a Cutie

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to share with you another layout I made from the Sweet Peach Crop Shop October Sweet Kit. I posted two techniques I used to create this layout on the blog HERE.

I used the packaging from the Pink Paislee Hexagon Chipboard stickers as a mask. I've never used hexagons before...what a cool look! I also used a small 6x6 chunk of a Cosmo Cricket patterned paper to create this cute frame for my larger photo. There are four 6x6 designs on the back of a 12x12. Perfect for a little side frame!

Be sure to check out the Sweet Peach blog for more tips & ideas featuring the awesome October kits!

So Happy Together using a cool sketch!

I am entering this layout into the latest Bird is the Word challenge. The word is TOGETHER. I used this delicious sketch by Ashley Horton...isn't it awesome?! She is a natural at designing sketches.

I used some Echo Park papers...LOVE this company! I painted & spritzed the background. I cut the pinwheel flowers using my Christmas Cheer cartridge to mimic the ones on the patterned paper.

Thanks for looking! Be sure to check out Ashley's blog for more of her amazing sketches!

ScrapFIT, Sketchy Thursdays & My Creative Sketches!

I have so much to share today! First up is the newest Workout at ScrapFIT. This challenges is all about NUMBERS. You can use them any way you want...in the title, the background, the journaling...endless possibilities!

Here is what I created. I used a sketch from My Creative Scrappers. I wanted to play off the blues & pinks in the pictures. This was a great sketch to use up scraps! I misted some light pink on the sides of my background paper.

I hadn't made any lollipop flowers in a while. I think they are so fun!

Check out this month's prize!! It's from the Paper Bakery.

Have you heard of the The Paper Bakery Kit Club? The Paper Bakery offers a monthly project-based kit each month, anything from a mini album to home decor. Be sure to visit the ScrapFIT blog to enter your layout for a chance to win! There is also time to do Workout #53 as well!

I also wanted to share my entry for the GDT at Sketchy Thursdays. In addition to using the provided sketch, the rules also stated to use at least 5 leaves and a list of things you are thankful for. I was in the mood to scrap this silly but cute photo of Paige last year, gnawing on her crib. I knew the title I wanted to use, and I did my best to fit the criteria for the challenge.

Here is my layout.

I created these simple flowers using my Cuttlebug. I love flower dies! Add a little ink and wrinkle them up, and there you have a flower :)

I just had to pull out the Create a Critter cartridge and whip up a cute little beaver to add to this page! (Well, I'm calling him a wood chuck...haha!) He matched my title so perfectly :)

I also created a layout for the latest contest over at My Creative Sketches. I loved the sketch and couldn't wait to scrap it!

Here is my layout. I used only two papers from AdornIt! I loved the color combos on this one sheet of patterned paper. I used Kraft background paper & some green cardstock to create my leaves.

These pleated flowers are SO easy to make!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

ScrapFIT Weekend Warm-Up

The new Weekend Warm-Up is posted over at ScrapFIT! It features bright & bold colors...my specialty :) Here is what I created as a sample layout.

I just adore these pictures of Paige. At first, I was worried about that green outfit...green is a hard color for me to scrap (especially bright grassy green). I decided to add in some bright blues & pinks and they played off the green nicely.

I added this bright yellow sun, and I added some chunky glitter to it.

I've had these glittery vines for so long, and I finally used them!

The winner of the Warm-Up will be featured in our guest FITGirl Spotlight!
