Hey, friends and fellow scrappers! The Sundays just keep on coming, and it's already time for another awesome Creative Scrappers reveal! If you like to scrap with a grid design, then this sketch is perfect for you. Check it out!
I was nervous about this sketch at first...I admit. I usually don't cover the entire page when I scrap. Once I decided on the photo and collection of papers, it just sort of started to flow. It's crazy that something I feared would take me forever wound up being a really quick layout. I didn't do any masking or misting...just lots of measuring and cutting. Once I had all my papers where I wanted them, I added all the tid bits in. I used the Memories Captured collection from Fancy Pants.
I love adding and tucking little pieces in here and there. These banner pieces are really fun to play with. Some are stickers and some are chipboard. As always, I'm addicted to adding in tangled thread :)
Flair pins...how amazing are they? They can go pretty much anywhere...even over thread.
I added in this cute wooden veneer frame on top of paper, a tag and yes...more thread :)
I definitely encourage you to give this sketch a whirl, even if it's out of your comfort zone. Sometimes you're best and most favorite pages come from a confusing and reluctant starting point...if that makes any sense. I know some of my favorite layouts started out as my most hated.
Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you check out the BLOG for the rest of the design team's pages...and link up to win the prize!

My Mind's Eye / Tombow Blog Hop!
Hey there, friends! Welcome to the My Mind's Eye & Tombow Blog Hop! These two amazing companies are teaming up together to give you the opportunity to win this amazing prize pack...check it out!
This prize includes:
The MME design team was sent some amazing products from Tombow to combine with our MME products. We received a set of fluorescent colored pencils, two different types of adhesive, and some liquid glue. I pulled out the new Chalk Studio II collection and started my design around the colors blue and black. I wanted the colored pencils to show up nice and bright, so I used them to draw a big circle behind my photo cluster, and I colored in some of the white design on the black paper.
I then wanted to add in a few more colors, so I dug into my older MME stash and grabbed a few things from the older Find Your Wings & Fly collection. The colors wound up meshing well together, and I loved how it all came together. I used all three adhesives to hold it all together.
I even used some stamps from the Collectable line here...I stamped them on transparency paper so I could move them around. I love the bright colors from these papers!
Lots of paper layers held together using the Xtreme Permanent Adhesive...I am in love with this stuff! It's very strong.
I layered in a few embellishments here, along with some tangled thread.
More layering...I used the liquid glue for this chipboard ticket. I always like to glue down pieces even though they already have a sticky back...just to make sure it stays :)
Here's a close up of the beautiful fluorescent colored pencils...so fun to play with!
From here, hop on over to the My Mind's Eye Blog HERE.

Summer Blondie / My Creative Scrapbook
Hello and Happy Thursday :) Today I'm sharing my final layout featuring the March Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I've truly loved working with all of the My Mind's Eye goodness this month!
For this page, I decided to scrap a few photos of my youngest little babe from a few years ago. She was so tan and her hair was so blonde! I added in all kinds of things on this layout. I really love that mistable Prima flower sticker at the bottom. I inked it yellow...so fun and easy! I also love the Heidi Swapp fabric trim. It comes white, and I painted this one grey. I also added in lots of misting and watercolors here and there.
Doesn't this flower look like flock? And it has adhesive on the back...it looks so intricate and complicated, but it was simple and fast. I misted this fabric trim pink and added a few pop dots to the chipboard heart.
I wilted this Prima flower down pretty good and misted it. I like them to look old and worn.
Here you can see the watercolors pretty well. I think I tear my patterned paper on just about every layout I create :)
Stickers & chipboard...LOVE! I added in some stamps as well as some tangled thread.
The April kits will be revealed soon...the time is just flying by! Some really pretty goodies coming your way soon :)
Thanks for stopping in, and have a wonderful day!

My Reason to Smile
Hey there, and happy Tuesday :) Here's a layout I made several weeks ago for a Tuesday Trigger challenge over at My Scraps and More. The challenge was to create a monochromatic layout using your favorite color. I can't ever resist pink, so that's the color I chose :)
I used the Flea Market collection from Crate Paper, and even a few older CP pieces thrown in. I just went through and pulled out lots of pink pieces. I just adored this bokeh heart paper....I didn't want to cut it up, so I made it my background. I added some modeling paste and some grey watercolor and even a little touch of stamping.
Here you can see the texture of the paste and the thread. Fun and easy ways to add interest to your page! Also, adding pop dots allows you to create even more depth.
I used some old Lily Bee alpha stickers as part of my title, which I layered over my paper layers. There's even some washi tape in there as well.
This chipboard heart is one of my favorite pieces...I love that it's not solid. Easy to layer in right here! I also added in some VERY old pink rick rack. If you're like me, you have a ton of ribbon in your stash. I hardly ever use it! I need to make it work more often.
Another close up of the paste and watercolors...I am so glad I finally gave this stuff a try! It's so fun to play with!
Thanks for taking a peek at my layout today :) I hope you have a GREAT day!

A few cards / My Creative Scrapbook
Hey there, friends :) It's Spring Break here...woo hoo! And it's rainy & cloudy outside. Go figure! Today I'm sharing a few cards I created using the March Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I'm not a huge card maker...but when there are just scraps left over from a kit, I feel like cards are the perfect thing to make with them.
I painted this cream-colored Prima flower with Heidi Swapp Color Shine...I love how it turned out. I also used it to color the fabric trim that comes in the kit.
I pulled out the old Cuttlebug and embossed some cardstock for this one. I used the same trim on this card, but I colored this one grey. Isn't this pinwheel fun?
A short & sweet post today :) I hope you enjoy your day, and thanks so much for taking a peek!

My Scraps Sketch #73
Happy Friday, everyone! I'm so happy that the weekend is practically here...what a busy week! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here in Florida this week...Spring is definitely here. It seems that we only get Spring for a just a short bit, and then it turns to Summer really fast. No complaints here...I wouldn't want to live anywhere else :)
Today, Sketch #73 is up on the My Scraps and More Sketch Blog. I used some of the new Daydreamer line from American Crafts. You can create almost any kind of page with this collection...it's very versatile. I just had to scrap this hilarious photo of my little goosie pitching herself a little fit down by the pool a few summers ago. Good grief...she was having a meltdown...as you can tell from the raised hands and the WAAAAAA look on her face...haha! It's crazy how someone so little can have such a big temper tantrum!
I love this black & white striped paper. I used some gesso to fade some of the lines in different places. The bottom right already had some bluish watercolor look to it, so I added more around the other parts of the circle.
I created lot of layers on this page...here in the corner I used a wooden piece that I inked black. I used the negatives of the Here We Go sticker. I popped out the stickers and cut around the black part. I added in some tangled thread and some stamps & washi tape.
I love mixing up my fonts for my titles. I pulled out my label maker...talk about a blast from the past! I also used some white Thickers and some cardstock cut with my Cameo.
More layers of patterned paper, tape, thread and pop dotted stickers.
Here's the sketch. Make sure you check out the blog HERE to see what the rest of the team came up with. I hope you play along with us!
Have a great day!

This Brings Me Joy / My Creative Scrapbook
Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all doing well today. We had a really rainy day yesterday and were without power last night for a while. So far, everything is okay this morning...still really windy and wet, but the rain has stopped. This weather is such a downer and makes it hard to get up and get moving in the mornings.
On a brighter note, today I'm up on the My Creative Scrapbook blog with my March Main Kit projects and a little tutorial. I've already shared a few of my pages with you. Here is the third one I created with the kit, and it's one of my favorites :) Isn't all this My Mind's Eye product just amazing?
I LOVE this big camera die cut...I have really been digging using cameras on my layouts lately. I have a few that I've done this with. I like it because it's fitting for every single page :) Everything is about photographs, so what better embellishment than a cute camera?
These chipboard jars are just adorable...I layered them. And it's crazy because I created my title before I noticed the one jar had JOY written on it in the same color and very similar font. I guess it was meant to be :) I also painted over the brown alpha stickers with silver glitter paint.
Lots of elements going on here....stickers, chipboard, die cuts, alphas...I tied some cord around this die cut just to jazz it up.
Sometimes I like to try something a little different when it comes to adding color and texture to my projects. I'm a huge fan of mist, gesso, watercolors and modeling paste. I wanted to add a pop of subtle color & texture to my page without getting too messy. I decided to try acrylic paint with a stencil, and the result was great! Here's how I did it:
Here is one of the cards I created using the Main Kit. What an amazing collection this is!
