Love Wonderful You / Hip Kit Club

Happy Tuesday, friends!  Today I'm sharing a new layout for Hip Kit Club.  I used the beautiful March 2017 Hip Kits for this, and I also used this completely gorgeous cut file designed by Kim Watson.  I love all those swirly clouds!  When I saw it, I thought of a sky, and then I thought of a sun.  I used an older Heidi Swapp sun burst stencil and traced it onto some white cardstock.  I used some of the Shimmerz Paste-eez in Hold the Mustard from the Color Kit to paint the sun bursts.  I lightened it up a little bit using some of the white Acritonez from last month's Color Kit.  I backed the clouds with patterned paper, some Project Life cards and some vellum.  I added some foam to it and and popped it up.  Before gluing it down, I machine stitched along all the edges of the rays.  I love how it all turned out!

Ahhhh..the dimension here just makes me happy :)  Check out that cute little bird...he looked perfect perched up on the cloud there.  I fussy cut "LOVE" from one of the Shimelle papers and used that as part of the my title.

Here you can see the background paint, splatters and stitching.  I love adding lots of color and texture to my backgrounds :)  I layered in a cute gold foiled cloud sticker from the Shimelle sticker sheet.  I also layered in some yellow tangled thread under the clouds.

This floral sticker is probably my favorite one on the whole sheet!  That aqua blue color is my favorite, and paired with yellow and pink...a total win!  I layered it here under the corner of the photo along with some stems from Pinkfresh Studio.  I hand cut that little orange flower to bring a pop of that color to this side of the page.  I used the orange PL card behind some of the clouds on the other side.  That pink frame behind the picture is from the Paige Evans Oh My Heart collection.

I love how the vellum looks behind the clouds.  Vellum is a great product to use, and it's so versatile.  I use it as layers sometimes, and I've even cut out shapes with it on my Cameo.

Here's one more close-up.  I added some foam behind this adorable Dear Lizzy camera and layered it over the edge of my photo.  I finished my title by adding the "Wonderful You" banner piece from the Oh My Heart Ephemera Pack.

Here's my process video for you...I hope you love watching the process as much as I did making it!

Thanks so much for your visit today...have a great day!
