She Sparkles

Hey there!  It's Sunday...which means our weekend is drawing to a close.  They sure do fly by pretty fast these days, don't they?  I'm sharing a layout I made a few weeks ago for a {stash} challenge at My Scraps & More last week.

The challenge was to pull out some old chipboard and make it work for your layout.  I have had these very old chipboard "coaster" pieces for about five years (really!) and they've just been sitting there.  When I first started scrapping, I bought so many things that just didn't match anything else.  I don't know what I was thinking!  Here they are--years later--just taking up space.  So I pulled them out and made them work for my page.  Some of them I used as they were, some I embossed & inked, and some I painted.  I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out :)

It always makes me feel good to know that I've used something that has been sitting in my stash for so long! This is why I never throw anything away when it comes to scrapping...you just never know when it might all of a sudden work for you.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
