My Scraps Sketch #77

Hey there, and Happy Friday :)  Today's layout is based on the new sketch that is up on the My Scraps Sketch Blog...and it's an awesome one!  I had lots of fun working with this one.  I used papers and embellishments from the new Studio Calico Lemon Lush collection.  My favorite part...the sequins!

I traced a few rectangles for my background.  I painted the aqua one with watercolors and used sequins to fill in the other one.  I used a few patterned papers from the collection, and then added in lots of random goodies from my stash.  Washi tape, wooden veneers, Cameo cuts, buttons, and stamps.

I had this circle cut left over from another project.  I painted it with watercolors to match that yellowish-green color.  I added in some thread...I can't believe it matched perfectly :)  Those sequins...I just love the colors!

I pulled out some really old Thickers, but they matched!  And I just grabbed a purple marker and wrote "friends" out on cardstock and then cut it out.

I believe this wooden tag came from a pack of various shapes I picked up from Michael's not long ago, and that button is a Walmart special :)  I painted the tag with watercolors, too.

Here's the sketch:

Be sure to come over to the blog and see what the other team members created using the sketch.  I hope you play along with us...there's a great prize up for grabs!

Have a great day!
