ScrapFIT #60 & Paper Thrills #42

It's already time again for another ScrapFIT workout! Seriously, half of January is gone already? It seems like we just revealed the last challenge. This workout was really fun, and it was right up my alley. I love challenges that you can interpret in a million different ways. This one is about focusing on "the simple things" in could be an object that you love that is simple, something your child loves, something you do...anything. I created a layout about my oldest daughter's love for the outdoors.

I used the Bloom Lite cartridge to cut this tree...I have been wanting to do a tree layout for a while now, and these photos were perfect for it! I simply ripped up some paper for my sky and grass, and with some ink & was ready to go.

I stuck my alphas to a piece of transparency paper (or whatever it's called...haha) so I could raise it up a little bit.

Our prize sponsor is
Boys Rule Scrapbooks kits is a monthly scrapbook kit club for those of us who love to paper craft boy subjects. Care and consideration is key as each kit is assembled for the boys. Cool embellies are paired with handsome papers you will love to play with each month.
Boys Rule Scrapbook kits also has exclusive embellies with each kit....they are all different and very unique, and are included each month just for you.

It's fun to create when you have a complete kit that is designed for the memories of dirt, grunge and smelly things!

The winner of this workout will win a fantastic kit from Boys Rule! Head on over to the ScrapFIT blog to upload your project!

There is also a new challenge up at Paper Thrills. This one is about showing how you recover after the holidays. These pictures of my little Paige say it all :) I used papers from a giant stack of Recollections papers from Michael's. There are so many coordinating colors in it...I love how the greens and browns go perfectly with the black and white photos.
