Simple Sweetness / Hip Kit Club

Happy Sunday, everyone!  I'm here to share my latest layout for the Hip Kit Cub using the beautiful 2015 June Kits.  I have to say that this background paper from Simple Stories is the most gorgeous piece of patterned paper to ever cross my desk.  Seriously.  It's stunning.

I didn't feel the need to add much to the background...it's gorgeous on its own.  I added a touch of modeling paste through a lined stencil and a bit of gold Color Shine, but that's it.  I added in a lot of layering with some of the Project Life cards and Fancy Pants tags.  I love that the tags come with strings attached already!  I also used a few Crate Paper embellishments, some Evalicious wood veneer and some embossed stamping.

I show how I created these fun embossed cameras in my process video down below, but it was super easy to do.  I used the Avery Elle inks and the embossing powders included in the Color Kit.  You can also see all the layering going on here.

The color combos in the kits this month are just so pretty.  These light teals, reds, oranges mixed with the kraft and gold...oh my gosh!  I love it so much.  I added in some gold machine stitching as well.

Here's one final close-up of this awesome wood veneer.  I just stuck my finger on the two ink pads and blended the two colors together to create this beautiful hombre look.  I paired a Crate Paper die cut with a Fancy Pants die cut and stitched them together.

Here's my process video if you'd like to see how this layout came together from start to finish.  I hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today....have a wonderful day!
