Creative Scrappers #275

Happy Sunday, scrappy friends!  It's time yet again for another amazing reveal over at Creative Scrappers!  I tell you, I just can't get enough of these sketches.  I'm always so inspired by them, and I always love what I created based on them.  Check out the latest one!

Here's what I came up with.  I used goodies from the July Kit from Hip Kit Club.  I started with some white cardstock.  I used the Heidi Swapp Color Shine and the Ingvlid Bolme Chalk Ink to create the background.  I used some plastic product packaging to smudge it everywhere.  I just sprayed some of the Color Shine onto the plastic, added a bit of water, and then laid the plastic down onto the cardstock.  It created a messy watercolor effect.  Then, I stamped the chalk ink onto the plastic, added water, and did the same thing.  I added a bit of Mister Huey's Water Coolor color (from my stash) to the blue in the background as well.  VERY fun way to make a messy background :)

I layered some Teresa Collins papers, some vellum and some chipboard elements around my photo.  I just love how it turned out...I really love the colors mixed together.

I just love adding thread to my projects...I love the look and texture it gives.

Lots of layering going on here!  You can't have too many layers...even with chipboard :)  I cut my title on my Cameo and messily (is that a word?!) outlined it in black pen.

A close up of the background paint job...I love that the texture of the cardstock shows through so well...LOVE that so much!  The "Love" border stamp is one I got from Michael's last year in a Valentine's Day stamp set from Recollections.

Be sure to head over to the Creative Scrappers blog and check out the rest of the DT's inspiration.  You should definitely be able to get some ideas of how to use this awesome sketch!  And don't forget to upload your layout for a chance to win a prize from Pinkfresh Studio!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
