Creative Scrappers #253

Yay!  It's Sunday, and that means it's reveal day at Creative Scrappers!  YES!  I am so excited to share my design using Kristine's awesome sketch.  I used the Sketchbook collection from American Crafts...I just LOVE it and have been hoarding it for months.  I've used it sparingly because I never want to run out :)

These pictures crack me up.  My little innocent sweet Paige who looks so adorable to the naked eye decided to have a throwdown out on the patio one afternoon.  Five seconds prior to this she was laughing and having a great time.  Then BAM!  Temper tantrum.  The more I laughed the madder she became...and what's a mom to do?  Take pictures of it, of course!  Ha!  She was literally stomping her little feet and making all kinds of wails, whines and screams.  Why?  Who knows!

I love the AC ribbon with the adhesive on the back...makes it so easy to use!

These cameras are so fun!  I cut the big black messy scribble circles on my Cameo, and that flair button actually came from Michael's Recollections...on clearance!

Love distressed layers :)

A MyScraps page + a Creative Scrappers sale!

Happy Saturday, friends!  This has been a crazy and stressful week for me...I know I haven't posted that much.  I have a lot to share in the coming week, so I'm starting with a fun page I created for the My Scraps Sketch Blog...it's Sketch #49.  I used a combination of American Crafts...Cut & Paste and Lucky Charm.  They all work so well together.  The blue and white polka dotted paper is a piece from my stash, and I punched the hearts from vellum.

I love these burlap flowers...a LYB clearance find at Michael's :)  That is a K&Co. brad that I received in a product swap years ago.  Sometimes it pays to hoard...haha!  It's a great feeling to pull something really old out of your stash and finally use it!

I textured up my background a bit with modeling paste.  It's always a nice way to jazz up a background without going crazy.  If you scrap it thin enough, it leaves just a hint of shape.  I lightly inked over it to give it a bit of a dirty look to match up with all the browns in my page.

Fun Tags with My Mind's Eye

Hey, friends!  I have been out of blog land for a few days...it feels like forever.  Too much "real life" stuff going on....ugh.  Today I'm up on the My Mind's Eye blog for Tag!  You're It Week.  I decided to create a tag trio and turn it into a framed piece for my daughter's room.  I used mostly papers from the Kate & Co. Cambridge Court collection.  The embellishments, stamps, and tapes are from other various MME lines.

I think this will look awesome in her room :)  Homemade art is the best!

It's Always Sunny + a question...

Happy Thursday, friends!  Quick question...is anyone else having problems with their photos when uploading to Blogger?  All the sudden, my photos are very dark when they upload.  I've edited them and brightened them up, but when they upload, it looks like I've darkened them quite a bit.  So I had to go back and lighten this one up VERY bright for it to look somewhat normal right here.  Very weird...I've rebooted and everything, and it's still doing it.  WHY?  Ugh.

***I figured out how to fix it!  You have to go to your Google+ Account and UNCHECK the "Auto Enhance" feature for photos.  Apparently Google thought it was okay to just re-edit your photos for you.  Not cool.***

Anyway, this is a layout that I created for My Scraps Sketch #47 last week.  Audrey Yeager designed the sketch, and it's a really good one!  I used The Pier from Crate Paper for this one.

I just love all the stickers, and the sequins are awesome!  I love the bits of shine they give.

I finally broke into these big red letters...so fun and different!
