A Valentine's Day page?

Yep!  I'm that scrapper who doesn't care what month it is...I scrap whatever photos inspire me at the time!  These are photos from Valentine's Day 2011.  I was in the mood for pinks, reds and blues, and these photos had them all.  I used the Fourteen collection from Crate Paper with a few goodies from my stash thrown in.  This layout was created for Sketch #45 at My Scraps and More last week.  The blue background paper is Bo Bunny, and I love it!  I'm sad that I used it and don't have it anymore.

I had this "love" die-cut leftover from another project, so I worked it into this page...amongst all my layers.

I love this chipboard banner...I'm glad I found the perfect spot for it!

Isn't that LOVE button so cute?  I found it with a few others on clearance at Michael's a few months ago.

Here's the sketch...and you can most certainly come play along with us!  Check it out HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'm so excited about the first Creative Scrappers reveal coming up this Sunday the 15th!  You won't want to miss it!

Have a GREAT day!

I Love Us + new Add-on Kits from My Creative Scrapbook

Another Monday is here!  Today, I'm sharing my second page showcasing the September Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  I just adore this Chalkboard line from We R Memory Keepers!  I love the splashes of mint, coral and yellow.  I started with some gesso and mint colored paint to create a messy background to create some separation between the black and white background and the photos.  I love how this page turned out...and I don't feel like even used that many pieces on it.

I did add some circles with a stencil and some modeling paste, and I outlined my little banner pieces with a black pen.

I really love the MME brads, and these pretty Prima flowers match the papers perfectly.

Love this texture!

I also wanted to show you all the September Add-On Kits...they are AWESOME!

Playin' at the Park

It's FRIDAY!  Can I get a woot woot!!  So glad it's the weekend :)  I am sharing another My Scraps and More page with you today.  I used the Park Bench collection from Fancy Pants.  The yellows and blues mixed with grey and black are just awesome.

I feel like I've been saying the same thing with most of my layouts lately...I began with a stencil and some modeling paste!  It has been my go-to here lately.  So easy to do and it always makes a unique background.  Throw some stamps here and there, and you have a fun place to start all your layers.

Layers, stamps and tags!  A great combo :)  Oh, yeah...and some washi tape.  Never forget the washi!

Speaking of washi...lots of it here.

I found the cutest little tutorial on Pinterest on how to jazz up boring paper clips.  Make little clip "flags" by sticking some washi tape through the end!

Love the texture from the modeling paste!

Thanks for taking a peek today...I sure had fun making this one!  (But I honestly can't remember a time when I didn't have fun making a page...this is why I do it!)

Have a GREAT day!

You can go HERE and purchase any or all of these amazing kits.  And you can go HERE to check out the gallery of wonderful designs from the team.  There are some jawdropping creations, I tell ya!

Here is one of the pages I created using the Main Kit.  I was excited to work with this kit because it includes the new chalkboard line from WeRMemory Keepers.  I've never worked with their products before, and now that I have, I have to say that they're AMAZING!  I instantly fell in love with these colors.

I added some texture to my background with a stencil and modeling paste and added some color shine in a peach color.  I also added some stamping.  Then it was time to layer up the papers.  The black chipboard frame is from MME, and they add just the right touches.  I also love the MME brads in the kit!

I realized after I photographed this page that I had forgotten to write the date and my journaling!  Oops.  I have since fixed that.

You definitely don't want to miss out on these beautiful kits...go check them out!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, and enjoy your Thursday!

Always up to something...

Hey, friends!  I have a really fun and bright page to share with you today.  I created it for a challenge over at My Scraps and More, back during the Got Talent contest.  The challenge was to use really bright colors on a black background.  I used an arrow stencil and painted (messily, I might add) over it.  At first I was not too thrilled that the painted leaked underneath the stencil, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.  I wound up liking that they were messy-looking.

I used up more scraps from the Fancy Pants Hopscotch line, which is full of bright oranges, pinks, greens, blues & yellows.  They definitely fit the personality of these cute photos :)

I cut this with my Cameo and then painted it blue.  I also used some light blue tissue paper underneath my paper layers.

Washi tape, floss and bling...yes, please!

Tissue paper is so fun and easy to use!  Just wad it up and cram it under something...haha!

Close up, you can really see the texture of good ol' cardstock :)

Thanks for checking in today...I hope you have a wonderful day!

Creative Scrappers Design Team!

***** Go HERE for the My Scraps "Switchin' It Up in September" BLOG HOP *****

I'm so excited to announce that I was asked to join the Creative Scrappers Design Team!

I've always been a huge fan of Kristine Davidson and her amazing sketches, so this is an AWESOME opportunity.  The super-talented Jenny Evans will also be designing sketches, so that makes it even more exciting!  I have to say that when I first created my scrappy blog three years ago, I applied for the CS team and didn't make it.  It was the very first team I applied for, and I remember being so sad :(  So to finally be a part of it just thrills me!  Yay!

The first reveal is coming up on September 15th, so stay tuned!  The September sponsor is Crazy Monday Kits, run by another scrappy friend of mine, Annelie Maddock.

You know it's going to be a fantastic prize, so be sure to join in on the first sketch!  I can't wait to get started with this new amazing team!  Thanks to Kristine for having me :)

Have a GREAT day, my friends!
