Yep, it's true. Challenge Me Happy is closing its bloggy doors after this challenge. While I'm very sad about this, I completely understand why Annelie needs to do this. It takes so much time, effort and energy to keep a challenge blog up and running, and sometimes it just gets to a point to where it's overwhelming. I will miss this team very much. There are so many pages I created for CMH that I wouldn't have normally made. So for that, I'm thankful for Annelie giving me a chance back in November 2011 when I first joined the team. I can't wait to see what other things she has in store in the scrappy world!
With that said, the final challenge is an ANYTHING GOES challenge. So that means create whatever kind of page you want, and just post it HERE! Easy peasy :) The winner will receive a box of random goodies from all the prizes over the past 2 1/2 years! I'd say that's worth playing for :)
I created a Valentine page...by using lots of washi tapes and some very old K & Company papers from eons ago. I have so many paper stacks...and I really need to force myself to use them up! I also cut some hearts from vellum and added a stamped heart.
I pulled some very old silver heart brads and used them up.
This old heart shaped doily...another piece of my old stash...
What's a Missy page without buttons?! Haha!
I hope you play along with us for this last challenge...send CMH off with a huge bang!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great Sunday!

I Heart Summer (My Creative Scrapbook}
It's the weekend...yay! It's time to share another page I created using the July Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook...woo hoo! It's full of the I Heart Summer collection from Simple Stories, and it's perfect for outdoorsy summer photos. I knew this picture of my little Reese would coordinate perfectly with these papers.
I layered a lot here...and to throw in some bright sunny yellow, I added in some paint in the background. I really love that Simple Stories has a lot of title blocks already made for you. And I really love that they focused on rainbow colors here...my fave!
A close-up of the layers...
I am addicted to buttons! I pulled these out of my stash.
You can get your hands on one of these kits, as well as some of the other ones available right HERE. There is A LOT to choose from!
Have a great day, and thank you so much for your visit!

Love Love Love
Hey there, friends! I'm sharing a page today that I created a few weeks ago for My Scraps and More. I finally got my hands on some Gelatos...and I can't believe I didn't try them a long time ago! They are AMAZING and so easy to use. You just use them like a tube of lipstick...rub them on your paper and then spritz with water and rub it with your finger....and you have an instant water color effect. I did this on some white cardstock first. Then I used my Cameo to cut the word LOVE all over another sheet of cardstock. I used the negatives and placed it over the gelato paper. I really loved how it turned out!
I used papers and embellishments from Crate Paper's The Pier collection. Love the little chipboard frames!
I'm a big fan of distressing and crinkling up the sides and corners of patterned paper layers. I also love adding string of some sort...twine, floss, jute, etc.
I cut out one of the tags from one of the patterned paper sheets, added an eyelet and some string.
A little journaling completes the project.
This is one of my favorite pages...I wanted to try something I never had before and it turned out exactly like the idea I had in my head. That doesn't happen often...haha!
Thanks for taking a peek today, and enjoy your Wednesday!

Here Comes Trouble
Hey there, friends :) I wanted to post a layout today that I created for a guest spot over at Shimelle.com a few weeks ago. I never posted it here...so today I'm sharing it with you! I included a tutorial on how I create a page like this on my guest post. It looks complicated, but it's really easy. It's just random paint, stamps, washi tape, buttons, chipboard and twine -- that's it! I also threw in some bubble wrap.
I also used up a few of my VERY old rub-ons.
This is a very old piece of chipboard from Basic Grey. I really need to use up my old stash of scrappy stuff! A lot of it is hiding in drawers...I need to dig through and get it all out where I can see it.
More stamps, paint and tapes. Up close, you can really see the rub-ons.
Thanks so much for stopping by today...enjoy your Sunday!

My Creative Scrapbook JULY KITS + a layout
Hey there! Happy July 4th :) I hope all of you enjoyed your holiday. Today is the 5th, which means it's time to reveal the July Kits from My Creative Scrapbook! There are SO many of them to choose from... check them all out!
I received the Main Kit this month, and it's full of Simple Stories I Heart Summer. What a fun line! I created five layouts with it, and I still have product left over. Here is one of my pages using the kit.
I started with some white cardstock and added in some paint to match the blue pool water. I knew I wanted to layer in other colors in between the paint and the photo. I really liked the orange paper with white hearts and the flowery vine paper. The clouds were cut from patterned paper, and I made the sun using yellow paint and twine.
You can purchase these amazing kits right HERE...and you can see the gallery of Design Team projects featuring all of these kits right HERE. So much inspiration for you!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a GREAT weekend!

The Prima flowers are a creamy off-white color, and I wanted to make one yellow specifically for this project. I have a tutorial coming later this month that shows exactly how I colored this one.
These chipboard fish are so cute! Lots of them in different colors...

She Makes Me Happy
Hello, friends! I have a My Scraps page to share with you today. It is based on a lift challenge over on our boards, where we choose a page created by a forum member to lift. I chose to lift a page by mmgallant. I loved her page so much that I even used the same collection she used (Everyday Eclectic by Echo Park). I loved how she used strips of paper and then added paint splatters. I like the neat yet messy factor going on.
I threw in some stamps and a few other little embellishments. I was very pleased with how it turned out :)
Thanks for dropping in today...I hope you have a wonderful day!

Challenge Me Happy #49
It's Monday....and it's the first day of July. What?! Half the year is gone...wow! Unbelievable. Time for another fun challenge at Challenge Me Happy...yay! It's a song inspiration challenge. The song is UMBRELLA by Rihanna. Use any of the lyrics to inspire you!
I created this layout, and my title is a slightly modified line from the song. I used a combination of American Crafts lines...Yes, Please, Lucky Charm and Sketchbook. Love how they all mingle well together :)
I just can't stay away from buttons these days!
I love this little camera!
The winner of this challenge will win 2 mini-kits from Echo Park - "Sisters" and "Oh, Snap." Definitely worth playing for!
You have until midnight on July 15th to upload your project on the Challenge Me Happy blog HERE. Be sure to go check out what the rest of the team created! Lots of fun inspiration over there :)
