A few layouts...

I'm late with another Sketchy Thursdays sketch! (The story of my life lately...) I just got too busy and didn't get it completed in time. It was one of those projects that I just didn't like it once I started it. I don't know if it was the papers or the colors, but I just had to sit it aside and come back to it. I still don't consider it one of my favorite creations, but I do LOVE the sketch and the pictures of my sweet little Paige's First Christmas last year! :)

Here is the sketch:

And here is what I made. I used My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter papers again. I added some stitching and cut out a tag for the title background. I also stamped some dots on the green background to add a bit of a white "snow" effect. I cut the snowmen from paper.

I also created this one...my beautiful Reese flashing her gorgeous smile :) I used a flourish mask and misted the background, and then I outlined it in black pen. I did a lot of doodling around the striped paper and the scalloped picture border.

I used a butterfly stamp and then stickled it...what a great and cheap way to make an embellishment!

Sassy Lil' Sketches 1.28 & Create a Critter :)

The minute I saw the latest Sassy Lil' Sketches sketch challenge, I knew the perfect picture for it! Our family photo from last Christmas. I used papers from My Mind's Eye Wonderful Winter stack.

Here is the sketch:

And here is what I created. I used my EK Success border punch for the scallops at the bottom and the blue scallop border on the left of the red paper. I cut the little snowman from patterned paper.

I used Glossy Accents on my little round ornament banner...it makes them so shiny :)

I also made this layout, using the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge. I just can't get enough of these cute little baby animals! I know it looks like the lion is just floating through the air, but I couldn't resist not having the king of the jungle on this page :) Paige loved her jungle swing...too bad she has long outgrown it.

I based my page on this sketch I found a long time ago:

And here is my page:

I embossed this cute little froggy...I love how he now looks bumpy :)

Sketchy Thursdays 1.20

Woo hoo...I'm not late this week! I just finished this one for Sketchy Thursdays.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout...photos of Paige :) I kept trying to get her to smile and open her eyes at the same time, but as soon as she saw the little red camera light, she knew the flash was coming. Little stinker!

ScrapFIT #36 & Sassy Lil' Sketches 1.21

Two more layouts complete! Yay! My first one is for the latest challenge at ScrapFIT...use strips of paper, include a strip of embellishments, and use at least two manufacturers. Done, done and done!

Here is what I came up with. My strips are obvious. I used a row of tiny brads just above the picture.

I also did the latest Sassy Lil' Sketches sketch...here it is:

And here is my layout...pictures of my sweet little stocking stuffer from last Christmas :) I used an old Bo Bunny line that I've had a for a while. I also used the Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite cartridge to cut that cute branch with ornaments!

Late with Sketchy Thursdays

I started this with every intention of entering it into this week's Sketchy Thursdays challenge. However, I just didn't get it finished in time. Oh, well...here it is anyway :)

Here is the sketch:

Here is what I made. These are the last few cute pictures from Paige's 10-month photo shoot. I used a lot of scrap pieces of paper for the strips. I even used some packaging from some old stickers I had laying around :)

This is a Sketchy Thursdays sketch I've had saved for months, and I never got around to doing it. Well, I finally did :) I couldn't decide on my favorite pictures of Reese from this photo shoot, so I just printed them all! I love multi-photo sketches.

Here is my layout...yes, these are from last December, and we were still wearing shorts! Here in Florida, we hardly get any opportunities for "winter" pictures. So the snowman shirt is pretty much it, considering she's got on shorts and sandals...haha!

Page Maps / Scrapdango

I completed the latest Page Maps layout challenge :) I loved the sketch and the prize is too awesome to pass up! Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout...I created the background by misting over a felt mask I have. The monkeys are just some little stickers I had. My journaling talks about how my girls are "silly monkeys" in the bathtub. Their bathroom is decorated in a monkey / jungle theme, so it sort of goes with that theme :)

I used my border stamps on this one...the blue scallop shape and the pink curly cues are stamps.

I've also been working on my layouts for my two design teams...I can't reveal them until the blogs' reveal days. Look for my first reveal for ScrapFIT on February 1st and my first reveal with Sassy Lil' Sketches on February 7th. I can't wait!
