Hello and Happy Friday! I'm sharing a page today that I made for a fun challenge over at Page Maps. I hardly ever have time for "me" pages, so I forced myself to make one that wasn't for a DT project. So here it is!
I used a combination of Sweet Girl from EP and My Girl from MME...they both go so well together. I also used the Page Maps sketch down below. I was in a bright yellow mood (can you tell?) and I really love that blue flower paper. I lightly brushed some pink paint around the edges to give it all a little depth.
Here's the awesome sketch:
Thanks for checking in today...see you next time! Have a great weekend!

Hangin' out with you {My Creative Scrapbook}
Hey there! What a busy week this has turned out to be. I've been filling in at the gym for another instructor on vacation, and I'm whipped! And I still have three more days of subbing ahead of me. Let's just say I'll be taking Sunday OFF :) I'm sharing my final page using the May Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I got a lot of mileage out of it, that's for sure!
I used the large doily that comes in the kit. I painted it blue to pull the colors from the photos and the bits of blue in the papers & embellishments I used. I've never been a huge doily fan, but I really love this turned out. It's funny how you think you don't like something or won't like it, but when you actually try it and make it fit your style, you wind up loving it!
I used some gold & pink Color Shine from Heidi Swapp for this flower...so shimmery!
These Basic Grey bottle caps are just too cute!
Well, that's a wrap for this amazing kit. June's kits are going to be revealed next week, and you're going to love them! Can't wait to share what I've created with the Main Kit.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

Baby Goose {My Creative Scrapbook}
Happy Memorial Day weekend! I'm popping on this morning to share another page I made using the May Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I created six pages with this kit, and I still have goodies left over :) This is page #5, and honestly, it's my least favorite. Something about the banner at the bottom bugs me...now that I look at it, I wish I'd have made it a little messier or something.
Anyway, this kit has been so much fun to work with. All the Simple Stories included are just perfect for all my girly photos!
This big Prima flower (which is not my usual style) was a little too light and fluffy. So I painted it a little darker and smushed it down quite a bit. Much better!
I just love how clean my Cameo cuts...it amazes me every time! I titled this one Baby Goose because that is one of Paige's many nicknames. I have no idea where it came from, but it has just always fit her :)
One of my go-to embellishments...buttons and twine!
Thanks for stopping by today...have a wonderful Sunday!

She's Full of Color {Love My Tapes}
Happy Friday, friends! I hope you're doing well and that you get some scrappy time in today :) I'm sharing a page with you today that I made for Love My Tapes.
I created it to show how you can use a variety of colored washi tapes to enhance your projects and add some interest to them. I just love rainbows, and I was in the mood to create something from scratch and not use any specific lines or collections. I pulled out a rainbow selection of LMT washi tapes and my trusty paints :) I took a sponge brush and watered down a squirt or two of each color and just washed it over a heart I hand-cut from cardstock.
I then took the coordinating washi tapes and added strips to each color section. Then I added in some black chevron and striped tape to match my stamps and title. I love the look and texture the tape gives. You can see them better in my close-ups.
I just love the yellow striped tape! I love how each one I used has a different shape on it...from stripes to dots to diagonals...such a great variety.
Another close up...
I taped over punched out hearts here and just traced around the edges. I then just dipped my finger into each paint color and smudged some on. Easy!
I hope this inspires you to take a little break from all the patterned papers and just create something from scratch...and pull out that washi tape to give it a little extra "oomph"!

A few Echo Park pages for My Scraps
Hello and Happy Thursday! I hope you're doing well today. It's almost the weekend....yay! I have to spend my Saturday renewing my CPR and First Aid certification...and while I know it's important for my job, I'd still rather spend that time scrapping! Oh, well...life happens, right?!
I have two pages to share today that I created for My Scraps and More. I finally broke open my Sweet Girl collection from Echo Park...why did I wait so long? It's amazing!! I used my Cameo to cut those hearts and then I backed them with patterned papers. And I've finally figured out the easiest way to make big paint splatters like this....soak up the liquid with a sponge brush and then use your fingers to squeeze it out over the paper! Perfect splatters every time :)
Here's the sketch...I turned my background rectangles horizontal and I overlapped them. Go HERE to participate in this sketch challenge...prizes are up for grabs!
Thanks for visiting me today...I truly appreciate it! Have a great day!

I created this page for last week's sketch over on the My Scraps Sketch blog. I started out sticking to the sketch, but then it just sort of morphed into something kind of different. I just LOVE the colors in this line...so pretty and girly!

Smile Big {My Creative Scrapbook}
Hey there, friends! I'm sharing my fourth page showcasing the May Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. Like I've mentioned in earlier posts, it's full of Vintage Bliss from Simple Stories. I just can't get enough of these blues, yellows and pinks! Right up my alley :)
I decided to create a nice and neat grid layout. It's not my norm, but sometimes I just like to try something different. I love this wood paper, and the colors look really pretty on it. I used a lot of the titles that come with the collection...I love how SS creates sayings and titles for you! And that Prima flower (which is SO not me!) was a really light pink, so I darkened it to more of a coral color. Just when I think I'm not a "flower person," I use one and I love it! I smushed this one around so it wasn't so bulky. I love how it turned out.
I spiraled the wire stems on these little guys...I think I like it ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your Monday treats you well :)

A few My Scraps pages...
Hey there, friends! I hope you're having a relaxing Saturday. I'm playing catch-up today and sharing a few My Scraps and More pages from the past few weeks.
This page was made using the Park Bench collection from Fancy Pants. I love the greys, yellows and blues...a combo I would've never thought to use until I saw it. It reminds me of the Portfolio collection from Pink Paislee from a few months ago.
These pictures are back when Paige first started walking unassisted. It took her forever to get it, but she finally did. Now that she's four, she's pretty much the fastest kid I've ever seen...haha. I love the flair buttons and fun tags in this line. I also added in some stamps from another FP line.
For this page, I used both the Lucky Charm and Yes, Please lines from American Crafts. There are so many fun colors and patterns in this one...they all just kind of mesh well together. These pictures were actually taken on Christmas day, but I just wasn't in the mood for red & green. So I made it a fun & colorful page instead. I added in orange paint and cut some fun hearts out of vellum. I also made a tag with the word FUN cut out...I hardly ever use the negative cut. I need to do that more often!
Well, I have more to share, but I'll wait. I don't want to go overboard in one post...haha! See you soon with more layouts from My Creative Scrapbook, as well as more My Scraps pages!

Lovin' That Thumb {My Creative Scrapbook}
Good Thursday morning to you! I'm so glad that I was able to recover all of my files from my old hard drive that crashed last week. Whew! The thought of having to re-photograph all of my scrappy pages just made me cringe. Not to mention all my iTunes music. Luckily, the iCloud saved every song I've ever bought, but it didn't save the songs I transferred over from CDs. So I'm having to do that again because that's how I get a lot of my music for my Spin classes. But at least nothing was lost! Thank goodness for that.
I have a layout to share today that I made using the May Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I was able to get a lot of pages out of this kit, which focuses on the Vintage Bliss line from Simple Stories with a few Basic Grey embellishments thrown in.
I'm not a huge flower person, but I couldn't resist this huge yellow beauty...wow!
You can check out all the beautiful kits at MCS right HERE. They're all amazing! Also, go HERE to check out the May sketch!

Challenge Me Happy #46
Hey there! It's the middle of May already...wow. Time for another Challenge Me Happy assignment :) This one is a WORD challenge, and the word is WATER. I used it in my title. I scrapped some photos of my little stinker in the tub from a few years ago. I used more of my MME Follow Your Heart line...I just love it so much!
I cut strips and made them into large-sized pennant shapes on the end. I also added some rhinestones, some twine and some buttons, along with some Pebble stickers here and there.
The winner of this challenge will win a prize package from 2 Crafty Chipboard. An excellent prize if I do say so myself :) You have until midnight June 1st to upload your project HERE on the CMH blog. Remember, your layout must be newly made just for this challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Curtain Adventure + a painting tutorial {My Creative Scrapbook}
Happy Monday! I'm up on the My Creative Scrapbook blog today, showcasing the pages I made using the May Main Kit. To go along with the page I'm sharing today, I put together a little tutorial on how I created my big painted circles.
This kit is full of Vintage Bliss from Simple Stories. I just love the colors! I wanted to scrap these cute pictures of my little goosie entertaining herself in the curtain :)
I love the way Simple Stories designs their papers...lots of tags and shapes that are ready to be cut out. These little Basic Grey bottle caps are the perfect finishing touch!
I also added some vellum here...I love the soft and subtle look it gives.
Here's my tutorial. It's also up on the MCS blog today.
I certainly hope you have a great Monday! Thank you for visiting me today :)
