Here is what I created. I live in Florida, and it's rarely cold here. Our version of cold is probably not what our northern friends think cold is...haha. This was a chilly November day here, and we needed our jackets. I never get to scrap snow pictures, but I had these cute clear-cut snowflakes and I thought this was the perfect page to use them on! (Even though it wasn't anywhere near snowing...haha!) It still makes me feel the chill in the air when I see the snowflakes & pretty cool teal colors :)
The prize for this challenge is this month's FITKit from Paper Issues! You have until January 31st to link up your project on the ScrapFIT blog HERE.
Next up is Challenge #38 at Challenge Me Happy. It's a SONG CHALLENGE. We give you a song – you create with whatever comes to mind for you. You might be inspired by the title, or the lyrics. You might be inspired by the song’s music video, the artist or the cover for the CD. There might be a memory you have, connected to the song, that you’d like to scrap about. The possibilities are endless, and that’s what’s so exciting with this challenge.
The song we have chosen for you this fortnight, happens to be the ringtone for Annelie, our blog owner and DT leader. A very popular song in 2012 by Gotye & Kimbra: SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW.
For me, the lyrics were a little bit negative, so I pulled a line out of the song and made it positive! This is a photo of me and my husband from last Christmas. I used some of MME's On the Bright Side.
The winner of this challenge will win a prize pack from Zva Creative! You have until midnight February 1st to link up your layout for a chance to win!
I found this amazing sketch from ScrapFriends to inspire me!
Thanks so much for dropping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day :)
Gorgeous use of the Color Scheme, Missy!! I feel you on the cold...we can barely handle low 50's!! :) I love the bottom edge of the page and how it has the punched/cut edge! The MME on your second layout looks fab!! One of my favorite ever lines from them!! The bright colors are so fun and I love the tearing in the center with all of the different strips behind it!
ReplyDeleteThe lo's are amazing!! Love the first one with the pastel colors. And what a sweetheart! the second one is so bright and beautifull!!
ReplyDeleteLove, Annemieke
Wow, I love both of them! The first one looks so cool with the whitish/clear on the kraft and the second one is so awesome with the tearing down the middle and the layers! Heehee... Cold? :) It is supposed to be -18 here in Minnesota next Tuesday! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your choice of colours and patterns! You have inspired me to join this challenge. Hope you don't mind that I use the same title as you. Thank you for the inspiration!
