Live For This / Thermoweb

Hello again, friends!  I'm back today to share my newest layout for Thermoweb.  I was up on the blog Friday wrapping up the week-long feature of Waffle Flower Stamps.  I used the “Flower Circles” stamp set to create lots of fun circles on my white background.  I enhanced those circles using various colored gelatos and added in a few metallic foiled circles using the iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets & iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Champagne.  This was fun and quick to make, and I love how the stamps and the foil look mixed together.

After stamping the circles with grey Archival Ink, I added a coat of clear gesso.  Adding this before using the mixed media allows the gelatos to blend and smudge a lot easier.  It protects the cardstock from coming apart during the blending.  I drew around the stamped circles with the gelatos and then used my finger to smudge the color to create a smoky and hazy effect.  I used a few papers and embellishments from the Dear Lizzy Documentary collection around the page.

I used the embellishments I had to create my title, including some metallic gold alpha stickers from My Mind’s Eye.  I love that the alphas match the other shiny gold elements on the layout.  I added in a few punched patterned paper circles and some sequins as well.
To get these beautiful gold textured circles, I used the iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets.  I punched circles out of it and then stuck them down to some Gina K. Designs Premium 8.5×11 Cardstock.  I peeled the top layer off and covered the sticky side with the Champagne Deco Foil Transfer Sheet and rubbed it with my finger. When you peel the Transfer Sheet away, you’re left with a gorgeous shiny image.  To add texture to it, just bend it back and forth a few times and it will crinkle up.  You can keep it smooth if you want, but I love the texture!  I love this pretty gold color up next to the background colors.  I added a few more Dear Lizzy stickers because they matched so well and just simply looked cute.

I tucked in a few of the foiled circles under the photo as well as some floral stickers and tangled thread.  I went simple with the title since I had them in front of me.  The title isn’t always the most important part of the page, so using what you have is a good way to go when you have it right there.

Here’s another look at the stamps and foil.  It’s really fun to mix and match products like this.  I also did a bit of machine stitching around the layout using metallic gold thread.

I never thought I'd find a use for this cute little deer, but it just seemed to work for this page :)

I hope this gives you some fun ideas to try with your stamps and foil :)  Let me know if you have any questions about any of these products!  You can check out my process video if you'd like to see how I made this.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day :)
