Here is the layout I created.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  There are a few rainbow style patterned papers in the kit, so I decided to play on those colors.  I found this beautiful butterfly cut file from Just Nick and backed it with two different patterned papers.  I used this pretty blue watercolor circles paper as my background, and I coated a lot of it with white acrylic paint.  I wanted to fade out some of the circles so the rainbow butterflies would stand out.  I used some Shimmerz Paints on the background as well as some gelatos.  I love this photo of my daughter...it has the perfect colors, and I love how it looks like she's looking at the butterflies :)

Aren't these colors just so delicious?!  I machine stitched through the centers of the butterflies and left the strings hanging.  I also added some adhesive foam behind them to raise them up.  The dimension turned out really awesome!  I added some tangled thread in various places and used some of the wood veneer buttons from the kit.

 

I wanted the blue circles to show on the sides of the layout but not under the butterflies.  That would've been way too busy.  The white paint does a fabulous job of covering them up.

 

Here's the top of the layout. I fussy cut "moment captured" from a sticker.  I decided to go small with the title since there was so much else going on.  I used a few stickers from the kit here and there, more wood veneer buttons and some of the chipboard pieces.  I also added in this "love" acetate piece.

 

I thought about printing my photo in black & white, but I'm so glad I didn't!  These colors look so good with the colors of the papers.  Sometimes the colors and photos just come together so well and look like they belong together :)

 

If you've never used adhesive foam or foam dots, you must try them!  Adding a little height to parts of your layout makes such a huge difference.  The shadows  here look so awesome, I think.

 

I just love these chipboard pieces!  The watercolor effect is stunning, and the colors...swoon!  I added a bit of journaling down below here.
