Hey there, friends :) I hope your day is going well so far! I was so excited when I read that I was selected by the amazing Design Team over at the 123 Challenge Blog to be a Guest Designer for October! The challenge was to use the color apricot, the word "forever" and swirls. I got all three of those in on this layout. You can see the blog post where this layout was featured HERE.
I used some papers from Carta Bella and Chickaniddy, some embellishments from American Crafts, October Afternoon & Fancy Pants, and some stamps from Jillibean Soup. I really just dug into my stash for anything apricot :) I decided to scrap pictures with blue in them, so I added that in around the page, too.
I layered some paper underneath my photos with this cardstock die cut. I actually layered two die cuts together to create more swirls. I also mixed and matched my title. I used a Heidi Swapp stamp and combined it with some Thickers and some Chickaniddy alphas.
I have this huge swirl rubber stamp that I finally put to work on this layout! I also added my new favorite thing...machine stitching. I added in several cardstock circles that I watercolored to add more blue around the page.
One more angle of the layers. That "R" is a $1 rubber stamp from Michaels that I've had forever. I just love layering up lots of things and creating depth and texture!
Thank you so much for having me as a Guest Designer, Alicia and crew!
Thanks for stopping by!
