Bottoms Up / A Flair For Buttons

Happy Tuesday, friends :)  Today I'm sharing a fun and bright layout for A Flair For Buttons featuring three different flair buttons.  I used the new Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy collection from American Crafts.  I created a really fun and messy background with distress inks and watercolors.  I have to tell you...my whole layout was inspired by the lemonade flair.  This picture is of me having an adult beverage in Las Vegas last August, and that cute drink flair was perfect for this, and so was this collection!

Bottoms Up

I did something on this page I have never done before...machine stitch in a circle!  I traced a few circles first and then did my best to stitch over them.  It turned out better than I thought it would :)  I did lots of layering and adding pop dots to my embellishments here.  I cut "Bottoms" on my Cameo on pink patterned paper and then used distress ink to color in white Thickers for "Up."  That cute flair button gives a great pop of yellow.

Another close up of the stitching and mixed media work...I didn't think I was going to like red mixed in with pinks, teals and yellows, but this line makes it look great together!

This cute camera flair button was the perfect match. I love layering them under embellishments and paper so they peek out.

I also added this cute yellow and black loopy loop button at the top.  The yellows matched perfectly, and it's just a fun and whimsical design.  I also added in some tangled thread...just one of my many addictions :)

Here are the flair sets I pulled from to create this page:
