Together Grateful / Paige Evans DT

Happy Friday, friends!  I am sharing my newest layout for the Paige Evans Design Team today.  I used Paige's new Truly Grateful collection for this, and I love how it turned out!

I could not wait to use Paper 07 with all those gorgeous trees!  I knew I wanted to fussy cut them out right away and create a fun landscape design with them.  I used thick white cardstock as my base and coated it with clear gesso first.  Once that dried, I used a few blue and green Shimmerz sprays to create a sky and some grass.  I Just sprayed the colors down, spritzed it with water and then tilted the paper from side to side and let the colors run and blend.

I placed my photo in the center of the page and then layered lots of trees on either side.  Some of them are glued flat and others have adhesive foam behind them.  This creates a lot of dimension and depth.  I used several Truly Grateful Puffy Stickers...a few birds, this cute squirrel, some mushrooms and some butterflies.  They are so tiny and cute!  I mixed and matched some pieces for my title here...and big word from the Ephemera Die Cuts and a Puffy Phrase Sticker.  I also added a Sticker here with some thread.

Look at this green!  I'm not even a huge green fan, but this turned out so rich and pretty.  I also splattered some gold Shimmerz after everything dried.  Here you can see lots of thread.  I used some green, yellow, pink and purple under the photo and big title.

In the sky, I added two puffy butterfly stickers.  I machine stitched some trails...I love doing that whenever I use butterflies.  It adds such fun texture and detail!  I also fussy cut this fun from Truly Grateful Paper 14.

Here you can see one of the cute puffy birds :)  I also added some "clouds" using some white acrylic paint and my foam ink blending tool.  I just smudged it down in a circular motion.

Here is a good angle of the dimension.  This is why I use adhesive foam a lot...it just makes things pop right off the page.

Here are even more close ups of all the details :)

I typed my journaling and cut it into strips. Sometimes I like to do that instead of hand writing it.

I hope you guys enjoyed this...I sure had a blast making it!  I love me a mixed media background with lots of bright colors :)  Have you used any of the Truly Grateful collection yet?  It's "truly" gorgeous, and I have so many more ideas for it in upcoming projects.

Be sure to check out my process video here for more details:

Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

  2. I Love watching you create. I am a very precise scrapbooker and this is so different and beautiful. Do you ever use 3 or 4 photos on a page? I have 20 years of photos to put in albums and 1 photo a layout I would truly never get caught up!😀
