I've been dying to use this adorable acrylic rainbow...just look at it! Isn't it the cutest?! It's in the Embellishment Kit. I tucked in a few exclusive die cuts here as well as a Pretty Little Studio blue flower sticker. To add a pop of green, I tucked in some tangled thread from my stash.
I added more color & texture by machine stitching through all of the umbrellas with coordinating thread. I added to my summer scene here by adding an exclusive cloud die cut and a chipboard sun sticker from Simple Stories.
More exclusive bits here...more floral acrylics and and epoxy sticker. I used an exclusive Project Life card behind my photo.
The tiny suns here are from the exclusive washi tape. I just cut them and stuck them around the page.
Using a cut file like this is a great way to get some subtle texture and pattern to your background. You could also use patterned paper to back all the open spaces.
I mixed and matched pieces to create my title. I cut "moon & back" off of this die cut and made my title more "summery." I used one of the exclusive acrylic words and finished with some of the orange puffy alpha stickers.
I really love the effect of using different fonts, sizes and colors of letters and words for titles!
I hope this inspires you in some way...it sure was fun to put together! I can't get enough of making summer layouts. They are definitely my favorite! Be sure to check out Hip Kit Club....the August Kits are shipping now...woo hoo!
