Hey there, friends, and Happy Mother's Day :) I'm still playing catch-up from the past week. My computer crashing has totally disrupted my online world. I've had to re-photograph layouts that I thought I had, but then realized they're missing in action. Today, I'm sharing a page that I created for Love My Tapes last Friday. I'm still trying to finish up scrapping some Christmas photos.
For this layout, I focused on using minimal patterned paper...only a few strips here and there. The rest is washi tape and stamps. I like how you can mix and match so many different patterns this way, and it's all random. I just start sticking and stamping, and it's so easy. Washi tape makes things go very quickly on a layout like this!
The black chevron, green polka dot and charcoal fan pattern tapes are all Love My Tapes...and they're so very versatile.
If you haven't tried washi tape yet, you don't know what you're missing. It really is fun to use and it's a quick embellishment on almost any project.
I appreciate you stopping by today! Have a great Sunday :)

My Creative Scrapbook & The Color Room
Hello there, and Happy Friday! So sorry I haven't been around much this week...my computer CRASHED on Tuesday, and I've been way out of the techno world loop. No access to my photos, my printer, my Cameo...nothing! I have been having scrappy withdrawals all week, and now that my amazing husband bought me a new computer yesterday, I'm getting back into the swing of things. My old computer was VERY old, and now that I have Windows 8...YIKES! It's so different. But I'm learning as I go. The software I used to print my photos is obsolete now, so I'm having to figure out the new system. Ugh! But on the bright side, I have a fresh new computer, and it's so much faster & has WAY more storage! Woo hoo!
Anyway, I have lots to share today. There is an awesome contest going on over at My Creative Scrapbook! Check it out!
We have a very exciting announcement today from My Creative Scrapbook owner, Pam Rangel!
Girls, we Love Prima so we are having a Prima Prize giveaway!!
Here's mine...I also used the sketch they provided. I just LOVE these colors, and I decided to create a page from scratch, using no patterned paper. I used a little plastic jar to stamp my big circles. I watered down some paint and just made my own circle stamp. Then I took a brush and "watercolored" the circles. I like the faded look they have. I also did some stamping and added in some film strip washi and some floss. I cut those little circles with the word "love" and the black hearts with my Cameo. I'm amazed that it cuts things so tiny and so perfectly!
I was planning on sharing another page I created with my May Main Kit from MCS, but I just realized that my photographs are on my external hard drive that is at the computer shop....so I'll need to re-photograph them. I'll work on that for tomorrow!
Have a great day, and remember to BACK UP FREQUENTLY!! :)

My Creative Scrapbook May Reveal!
Hey there, friends! I'm so excited to share the new May kits from My Creative Scrapbook today!! Talk about beautiful...all of the available kits are just so pretty and fun! Here they all are...
I just love these Basic Grey bottle caps! They're so adorable!
One of the patterned papers is full of these butterflies...I fussy cut a lot of them for my pages. I also used a black pen to do some outlining...just a simple outline makes it look so different.
I based my layout on a sketch I created. If you use it, I'd love to see your layout!
I'll be sharing my other pages throughout the month...but you can head on over to the MCS gallery and check out LOADS (and I do mean LOADS) of the team's work! You will be overwhelmed by all the beautiful inspiration over there.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!
The Main Kit
The Creative Kit
The Limited Edition Kit
The Album Kit
The Off-The-Page Project Kit
The Mixed Media Kit
Aren't they all awesome?! Head on over HERE to purchase them!
I got to work with the Main Kit, and it's full of the new Vintage Bliss line from Simple Stories and the embellishments are Basic Grey and Prima. I made SIX pages with my kit, and I still have product left over! Here is one of my pages. I cut some strips, but I also used a lot of the little bar code strips at the bottoms of the patterned papers. Don't forget about those! I started with a plain white cardstock background and did a little bit of painting & dripping. I used a foam brush and some watered down mist. So easy to do!

A few pages to share...
Happy National Scrapbooking Day...otherwise known as every day in my house. Ha! I have a few pages to share today...I'm catching up with a few from My Scraps and More. These two pages were up on the blog over the past few weeks.
I used the new Vintage Bliss line from Simple Stories for this page, and I just love the fun colors and patterns. You can buy it HERE in the My Scraps Store. I added some texture to my background with a circle mask & some modeling paste. Then I turned the mask a bit and added some blue mist.
I thought I had posted this page, but apparently I didn't. I used the MME Collectable line for this one. I just love it so much! I really love how my background turned out. White modeling paste on white cardstock...then I just lightly misted over it with some Heidi Swapp color shine, and then I took some chalk and just lightly colored some of the arrows. Love the subtle touches of color!
Here you can see the gold shine from the Heidi spray...so gorgeous! I also used some vellum that I embossed. I need to use it more!
You can get this MME collection HERE in the My Scraps Store.
I'm so honored that you stopped by my blog today...thank you for visiting me! I hope you have a wonderful Saturday :)
Stay tuned...the May kit reveals for My Creative Scrapbook are tomorrow, and you won't want to miss it!

Challenge Me Happy #45
Hey there, scrappy friends! I'm so glad it's Friday...it's been a busy week, and I'm looking forward to some relaxation this weekend. I wanted to hop on today and share the latest from Challenge Me Happy. Challenge #45 is to SCRAPLIFT an amazing page from one of our team members! Marie Johansson's page is on the CMH blog HERE, and it's just gorgeous! All you have to do is lift it. I love her style! Go check out her blog HERE.
I used an older MME collection...Follow Your Heart. I just love the golds, blues and browns, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of using hexagons :) This photo cracks me up...my girls look so thrilled to be close to one another...haha. NOT! I had to get a little sarcastic with my title. I can hardly ever get them together for a photo. It took me sticking them in swings to do it! The joys of siblings who can't stand each other...sigh.
The winner of this challenge will receive a Scoot collection pack from Echo Park! Definitely worth playing for!
Go check out what the other DT members created for their lifts...gorgeous pages! You have until midnight May 15th to upload your project. And remember, your project must be made just for CMH and no other challenges.
Thanks for stopping by...and have a wonderful weekend!

Pretty Little Studio + Love My Tapes Blog Hop!
Hello and welcome to the Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes Blog Hop! We thought it would be fun to combine forces and share with you projects highlighting Pretty Little Studio whimsical goodness paired with the versatility and trendiness of Love My Tapes.
During the Blog Hop, you will be visiting blogs from both Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes Design Team members. We promise to bring you a hop FULL of inspiration and creativity. Here is what I created with my adorable die-cuts from PLS and some tape from LMT.
I used the lace tape on this card...at the top and on the blue hearts. I simply punched some hearts out of cardstock, covered them with the lace, and lightly inked over the top to give a light blue tint. Easy peasy! I love these PLS vintage images...so cute!
I love these really small characters...but they all had so many different colors going on. I pulled out some black & teal tape, and my white lace tape. Just like the card above, I lightly inked it pink to pull out the girly colors.
I love this little girl having an ice cream soda! I wanted to play on the teals & reds, so I stamped several hearts and then painted in some of them with watered down mist. I added the button, and it finished it off.
What’s a Blog Hop without giveaways? Be sure to visit all the blogs, including the Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes blogs for a chance to win some PLS and LMT goodies! So Many Ways to Love Her {My Creative Scrapbook}
It's Monday again...they just keep on coming, don't they? I'm sharing my final project featuring the April Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This one was my favorite of all my projects this month. I used a lot of the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes washi tape paper included in the kit, as well as a lot of paint. Lately, I'm loving starting with a plain white piece of cardstock and making it work with what I have. I watered down some paints here and used a foam brush to spread it around. Super easy!
I cut this arrow and the word "love" with my Cameo.
These Thickers are originally brown, but I colored them to match my paint colors. I have a tutorial below showing how I did it.
I just LOVE this butterfly! I crinkled him up some to give him some interest and depth.
A close up of that lovely washi paper!
Here's a little tutorial on my alpha painting :)
I hope this inspires you to get out your paints and create something unique! Don't be afraid to get messy...that's the fun in it! I can't wait to show you what I've been working on with the May kit from MCS...the reveal of that kit is coming on the 5th, so stay tuned! You won't want to miss it :)
Have a GREAT day, and thanks for stopping by!
