My layout combines the Pink Paislee Fancy Free and Take Me Away collections, both designed by Paige. I wanted lots of color and fun patterns, so I created a large title. I used the new Out of Line Alpha cut file from The Cut Shoppe to create the letters. I cut small squares from a few of the papers, mainly 07 from Take Me Away and 06 from Fancy Free. Those are the papers with the different colored patchwork squares on them. I cut each letter from a different paper and arranged the title on paper 15 from Take Me Away (the light purple gradient). I smudged a lot of white gesso on the background and then used some Shimmerz Paints and gelatos to create the pretty watercolor effect.
I love how the letters turned out! I added some vellum to each one to make them stand out a little more against the background. I lightly adhered them all down and then machine stitched over them with different colored thread. I embellished with a variety of items. Here I used some of the Fancy Free Puffy Stickers and Ephemera as well as some of the Take Me Away Chipboard Thicker hearts.
I also embellished with some of the buttons from both collections. I didn't glue the letters down completely flat, so they curl up a bit to create some depth. I also added a bit of tangled thread behind the photos.
Here's another look at the dimension and texture. I like to add foam adhesive under my photos a lot to raise them up, and it really makes them pop off the page. I added a fun tag from Take Me Away here and more thread.
Here's another look at the pretty colors. I added my journaling underneath everything and talked about my silly girl and her silly faces!
Mixing and matching the collections was a lot of fun. I used buttons from both lines; Take Me Away also has these adorable bows. I tried to spread all the colors around the page, so there is a little bit of each color everywhere.
Here's one more close up of all that yummy color and texture! I also added few stamps using the Fancy Free Roller Date Stamp.
I do have a process video for this, and here it is! You can see how I created this from start to finish. I hope you enjoy and are inspired!
