A Spring Story / Hip Kit Club

Hey, friends!  I'm back with another fun layout for Hip Kit Club.  I'm still loving the March Hip Kits, and I incorporated a FREE floral cut file designed by Nicole Nowosad for this.  If you have a registered account on the Hip Kit website, you can access all the FREE cut files every month!  I used all exclusive Hip Kit papers here, and I just copied and duplicated the flower multiple times in different sizes.  I cut each one on a different patterned paper and nested them together.  I got brave and did some shaped machine stitching around the flower, and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it turned out!  (Check out the Main Kit and the Paper Kit to get all these gorgeous papers!)

I used a lot of white gesso on the background first before adding lots of Shimmerz products to create a watercolor look.  I added my photo behind the smallest flower, and it just happened to fit perfectly with the shape!  I added pop dots and lots of those pretty Basic Grey flowers under it.

Here you can see a lot of the details.  I added some tangled thread from my stash, a few of the Pinkfresh Studio puffy sequin stickers, some of the PFS wood veneer hearts, and I combined those awesome bright green Thickers with the PFS silver glitter stickers.  I love that the foam part is pink!

More of the same products on the other side...those Basic Grey flowers are so pretty and bright!  I love how the look against the watercolor background.

More color...more flowers!  And more puffy sequins!  This was fun to create since my photo was in color...I love that the bold blue colors in the papers and flowers pull out the blue in the swing in the picture.

Here's a close up of the background.  I love how the gesso gives the paint even more texture.  Getting messy is so much fun! :D

Here's my process video for this page if you'd like to check it out.  I hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
