Holiday Memories / Hip Kit Club

Hey, friends!  I'm back again today to share a layout I created for Hip Kit Club last week.  It was for Mixed Media Monday, I used the 2017 November Hip Kits.  I was inspired by the colors in my photo.  I cut out several stars from various patterned papers from the Main Kit and December Documented Kit.  I used some pink and light blue watercolors from my stash to create the mixed media background and embellished with lots of snowflakes.  I used stickers, puffy stickers and die cuts.  I also used a few of the Hip Kit exclusive Wood Veneer shapes and buttons.  I love the pops of gold in the kits this month, and it really makes all our Christmas pages so festive!

 I have been wanting to use this cute wood veneer piece, and it worked great for this page.  I have really enjoyed using non-traditional colors for my Christmas pages.  I really love all the pinks, light blues and golds in the kits this month.  I created some dimension by adding some adhesive foam under the photo and then layering pieces on top of it.

I did a little bit of machine stitching around a few of the hearts using gold metallic thread.  It's such a small detail but it really makes a big impact.  I used some of the exclusive wood veneer buttons and stars along with some puffy stickers.

I layered a few circle die cuts with this circle puffy sticker to create a little embellishment here.  I layered some tangled thread to add another pop of that pretty blue.
