Love This Journey / Hip Kit Club

Hey there!  Happy March....already!  Today I'm sharing my fourth layout using the 2015 February Hip Kits.  I used a lot of the beautiful Heidi Swapp Washi Tape from the Main Kit on this and very minimal patterned paper.  The layers behind my photo are from the 6x6 Paper Pad in the Embellishment Kit.  I wanted to use some of the awesome MME Jubliee paper as part of my title, so I fussy cut out "Love This."  I adhered the gold "Journey" rub-on to white cardstock so it would fade into the washi tape.  Plus it has much more dimension this way.

I did add some watercolors to my background as well as some black and gold splatters.  Can you tell I was in a gold mood?  I added lots of it!

Here's a close-up of the gorgeous gold rub-on...they go on so smooth.  I love the mix of colors here....the blues, greens and reds are so pretty together.

I couldn't wait to use those shiny gold chipboard days of the week pieces. And I needed more gold, so I stitched through them with gold thread.  I added a die cut arrow and enamel dot for a pop of red....or reddish orange, rather.  I love that color mixed with the aqua.  I also created a banner out of those triangles and stitched it down.

These Evalicious wood veneer pieces are so much fun and go with pretty much anything your scrapping.  You can see the watercolor better here as well as the washi tape, stitching and rub-ons.
