Carefree / Hip Kit Club

Hey, friends!  I hope you are all doing well this week!  I have another layout for Hip Kit Club to share, and I used the 2016 March Hip Kits to create it.  This month's Main Kit and Paper Kit contain a lot of Pinkfresh Studios products and some really amazing exclusive papers...they truly are gorgeous!  Kim Watson designed them, and my favorite is this multi-colored bright paper that I used to cut these flowers.  Ashley Horton designed the cut file, and I cut four flowers on the patterned paper and on white cardstock.  I used the Green With Envy Aqua Huez paints from Shimmerz that we received in the Color Kit to color the leaves.

I used some white gesso on the background before adding the watercolors.  I also used a few Project Life cards on this...I fussy cut that beautiful aqua heart and the "Remember This" tag piece.  That yellow strip in the background is from one of the Pinkfresh Studio papers, and the bits and pieces are all from Pinkfresh, Basic Grey and Elle's Studio.

Look at that paper!  The colors are just so pretty all mixed together!  I wish I had 20 more sheets of it...I'd hoard it forever :D  I layered some tangled thread here, and I fussy cut "carefree" from another Project Life card.  Kim Watson also helped design the PL Cards, so you won't want to miss those!  That blue flower is from the Basic Grey flower pack...another set of gorgeous colors!

I love how adding the Aqua Huez to the leaves made them curl....they look so dimensional like that!  Some of the Basic Grey flowers are vellum....like this pink one.  Swoon!

These Pinkfresh Studio pieces are soooo much fun!  I love the birds.  I added a pop dot to this little guy.  He looks like he's looking right at the photo :)  Those sentiment strips, the "oh happy day" circle and the striped piece behind it are all from Pinkfresh as well.
