Sketchy Thursdays & another layout

I was able to take part in this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch. They always have the best sketches! Here is what I came up with. I stuck to the sketch and didn't do too much changing. I added more circles to echo the bubbles. I stitched a few and then added Glossy Accents to the aqua ones. I love how shiny they look!

Here is another one I did a few weeks ago...can you tell I love working with bright colors? :) These are some of my favorite pictures of Paige. She was just getting into swinging and she loved it! I used a very old Spring Stack from DCWV and some of my old flower stash. It feels good to use up old materials!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day :)

October Sketch #1 @ Sweet Peach

Hi, scrappers! I hope you've had a great weekend. It has been raining here for 24 hours straight...no lie! It's still going...unbelievable! I think we'll need a boat soon. The first sketch of October is up at Sweet Peach Crop Shop! It's a good one, too!

Here's what I created, using the October Juicy kit. I love the paper combos in it...such pretty colors & neat patterns. I misted some brown Smooch over a felt flourish mask to help make the background more interesting.

This rickrack ribbon comes in the kit, and it's actually a creme color. I misted it to match the reddish color in the papers.

This beautiful flower & the buttons also come in the kit! There is a second flower just like this one, with a pretty aqua center, too! It's coming up in another layout :)

Have a great weekend! (And stay dry!)

Paper Thrills Reveal & a few more layouts :)

Another wonderful fall challenge is up at Paper Thrills! This one is a color palette, using reds, browns, oranges & yellows...beautiful fall colors. Here is what I made...something totally un-fall related! I'm in the middle of scrapping April pictures, so I made this work. If you know me, you know I scrap in order. It's my scrappy OCD thing...haha.

I did lots of masking & misting, distressing & inking.

This is a layout I made a few weeks ago but never shared. These are the only St. Patty's pictures I was able to get of my silly girls. They don't pose together very often, and this is definitely a forced photo...haha. Can't you tell how much they love each other? :)

This is one of a few really cute spring layouts I've done in the past few weeks. I love the bright colors of spring papers! Paige loves to swing & stick her tongue out :)

I have soooo many store-bought flowers! I have a need to use them up, so I brought them out for this layout.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Friday!!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I wanted to share with you may latest layout for ScrapFIT. This challenge focuses on journaling "around" something. Here is what I created. I used the Echo Park Playground line...perfect for playground photos!

Sarah Hill, the owner & designer, wants to be that unique club that offers something different-new techniques, new ideas, and the newest supplies. All kits come with everything you need to create each project including detailed, easy-to-read instructions. Add-on kits are also available for purchase that compliment the main project kit perfectly! Single purchases are available, but the best savings occurs when you have a subscription for The Paper Bakery! Make sure to check out the current kit and the previous ones over at The Paper Bakery's blog.

Be sure to link up your layout on the ScrapFIT blog in order to be eligible to win!

The latest Weekend Warm-Up is also up. It's all about circles! Here is the sample layout I made. I've used this misting technique a few times before...using a cup to create the circles. I had a paper with all these circular circles (haha) and I wanted to mimic that in my background. See the little embellies I cut from paper that have the six circles forming a circle? I wanted that look, only bigger. I outlined them with black pen and added some rub-ons.

I'll be back tomorrow with another reveal. Thanks for stopping by!
