Sugary Sweet Homework...?!

Although it has been a busy week, I managed to complete two more layouts of my sweet Paige.

For my first layout, I used this cute sketch from Sketch Savvy. I stumbled upon their sketch blog and I love every sketch I found! Soooo cute.

Here's my interpretation...I bought this pack of Colorbok papers at Joann's over a year ago. In the past few months, I have found matching stickers and rub-ons at Big Lots for $1! I was so excited that they matched and finally decided to pull them out and use them.

For this layout, I used a Jana Eubank sketch. Again, I love every single one of her sketches. I love the brackets in this one!

Here is what I came up with. Reese had a picture to color for school, and Paige decided to check it out :)

Rejected, yet again

Here are three layouts I did about a month ago for a design team submission. I was not picked...again. They didn't want the layouts posted anywhere until they decided who made the team, so I'm finally able to show them. It's a good thing I love scrapping for myself and will continue to do it even if I'm never on a design team. Sometimes I wonder why people gush all over your work and tell you how great it is, yet it's obviously not good enough to make the team. Oh well...life goes on.

One last Halloween layout of Paige from last year...I went glimmer mist crazy! Loved how the background turned out. I even used some crayons to fill in some spots.

I misted a rainbow for this one...I just had the idea in my head and went for it.

This was the last picture I had from Paige's 8-month photo shoot. More misting!

Swinging, Golf Carts & Toes

What a combo, huh? I'm sharing my three most recent pages today :)

This is from last November...Paige's first time swiging. Obviously, she HATED it! Poor thing just cried and cried! I hurried up and took a few pictures and then got her out of there...poor baby :( I used one of Jana Eubank's layouts for my inspiration for this one. Jana is amazing!

Also from last November...Reese and her Papa riding the golf cart. It's one of her favorite things to do :) I used one of Helen Croft's layouts from Scrap-a-Little for this one.

I had to bring out the glimmer mist again...I was missing it! I used some random circles as masks. I did lift this layout from one I found online, and I can't for the life of me remember the artist. I just love the design!

Girlies Galore

I have two new pages to share...one of each of my sweet girls. The first one is of Paige last November. I loved this little onesie and loved creating the background to match it. I used some homemade brown glimmer mist and some flower masks I cut with my Cricut. I then cut a few matching flowers in matching colors. I hand-stitched around the negative space flowers, and used an old colored pencil to fill in the red centers of the flowers.

I used pink and brown glimmer mist on this layout of Reese swinging. I have a bunch of different felt shapes, and I used a scalloped one and a flourish for masks. I used Echo Park papers for this one, and fussy-cut all those flowers out of patterned paper. I added a few other flowers (the yellow ones). I stamped the butterfly on the right using glimmer mist instead of an ink pad...just experimenting :) I like the light color it gave...so pretty and soft.

Celebrating with Creative Scrappers

I got to be a part of Creative Scrappers' 125th sketch celebration. They asked for readers to create a layout based on a special sketch. Sixty readers were chosen and this week, they've been displayed on the CS website. It's pretty cool to see your layout on someone else's website! Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout...I flipped it horizontally.

Here are two more layouts I've done this week...

My Sweet Reesie Cup

Here are few more layouts of my sweet girl! She just looked so beautiful on this day, I couldn't help but take about a zillion pictures! It's so hard to not print them all.

I was chosen!

How exciting! I was chosen as a Guest Designer for Helen Croft's ScrapALittle blog! There were only 15 people who applied, and everyone got a spot. I'm still happy to show my work elsewhere, so that is exciting! Here is a link to her blog so you can see for yourself :)

My School Girl :)

I finally scrapped Reese's first school portraits and her first class photo. For some reason, it was hard to scrap school pictures...I have no idea why. I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with them, and then I couldn't decided on papers to use...it was one of those layouts that just keeps bugging you. I added one of her school creations (her hand print) and I liked it better with that touch.

Her class photo from last October...I can't believe how much she's grown since then! I used papers from a pack I found at Big Lots...I think they're DCWV.

This is one of my favorite Reese pictures. It is from last November, and I think she looks stunning. She is quite a beautiful little girl, and she is so photogenic! Surprise...I glimmer misted the scalloped background. I'm really loving the versatility with this product. I love creating unique backgrounds with it!

Finished with October!

I am officially finished scrapping all my photos from October 2009! I have a hard time scrapping out of order. I like to scrap all my pictures one month at a time -- that way I can put them in albums in order. Otherwise, I'd have a huge stack of layouts [in random order] just sitting there, and that bugs me :) That's just one of my scrappy OCD things...haha.

Anyway, here are the last of Paige's 8-month photo shoot. For this one, I had fun with glimmer mist a a doilie from the Dollar Tree! I used it as a mask and then to frame the bigger picture. Who would've thought?! I love using random things on layouts! I also made the hydrangea flowers...so easy!

This pink paper was just so pretty...I didn't want to cut it up or cover much of it, so I kept it simple. Love the colors here!

Okay, I can't resist little naked hineys...and to be safe, I censored Paige's hiney with a random chipboard heart just for the sake of posting this on the internet. I wish I could show you her "chunk"! Haha! It's just too cute! I misted the scalloped design and the "sweet" title...so easy, yet it looks like it took a lot of work. Love how this one turned out :)
