Happy Friday, friends! Have you had a chance to check out the new scrapbooking company PhotoPlay Paper yet? All week long the My Scraps & More Design Team has been showcasing the beautiful new collections from PhotoPlay Paper. I have a layout to share today using the Autumn Day collection, which contains papers and stickers all relating to Fall. They are all so pretty and were perfect for this photo of me standing in some awesome crunchy Fall leaves :)
This layout was also created for this week's Word Up Wednesday challenge. I challenged the forum members to create a page about one of the seasons and to create either a sentence or phrase using the name of the season. I used "Fall in Love."
I wanted to create a layout with falling leaves, so I cut a bunch of them out using the Leaf it to Me cut file from The Cut Shoppe. I placed them around the page to make it look like they were falling from a tree. Since there is some light blue in the photo, I used some light blue gelato and watercolor to add a bit of blue to the background. I added a few orange and shiny gold splatters as well.
I stitched through every leaf just to add some texture and interest. The stickers in this line are so cute and fun. I was happy to see this fun arrow!
I cut the word "fall" on my Cameo on white cardstock and used gelatos to give it a multi-colored look. I paired it up with the collection's alpha stickers. I wrote my journaling directly on to the background, which is usually how I do my journaling.
I love these berries! They were perfect for tucking under the photo. I also used a few banner/label stickers above the picture. And I had to add gold tangled thread, of course :)
Here's one more look at one of the leaves. I even used the inside cut outs of some of the leaves...I love how they look like little dry leaves or twigs.

I also wanted to share this bonus layout for Hip Kit Club that I created a few weeks ago using the 2015 August Hip Kits. I used a lot of the Dylusions Paints that came in the Color Kit. I used my small square acrylic stamping block as a stamp to create the background, and I added lots of the Dear Lizzy washi tape and some machine stitching. I started out with this just being a lot of pink and yellow, but I decided to add in the red and teal. I love how it turned out!
This Dear Lizzy washi tape roll has been very well used by me this month! I really love it, and it can be used in so many ways. This awesome Pinkfresh Studio rubber charm tag was perfect for this page, and so were the gorgeous Dear Lizzy chipboard pieces!
Since this photo on this page is of my daughter on her birthday, I just had to use the YUMMY letters! Even though she's not eating cake, I had to use all the fun birthday elements :) Here you can see some of the modeling paste I used through one of the exclusive Hip Kit stencils as well.
I think the teal really sets this color scheme off...it's just the right amount added in. I love this messy background....and it was really fun (and fast) to make.
I used these awesome Pinkfresh cursive alphas here for a small title...the color matched perfectly! I think I could stare at this texture and color all day. I love how the texture of the cardstock shows through!
Here's one last shot of the cute candles! I also added in a fun pink glitter chipboard heart from Freckled Fawn. All of these goodies are in the August Kits!

I’m so excited to share my first layout with you for My Mind's Eye using the new My Story collection! Have you had a chance to check it out yet? It’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s full of golden yellows, pinks, black and metallic gold. It’s very versatile and can be used for a variety of subjects and projects. I created a bit of a mixed media layout here using some of the grey My Colors Canvas Cardstock, some white gesso and some gelatos and spray inks. I chose several patterned papers from the 6×6 paper pad, hand drew the letters and then cut them out. I love the handmade look and didn’t want them to be perfect. I cut my photo for the “O” in Love and used lots of various pieces from the collection to embellish around the page.
I used a few of the Decorative Brads and Rub-Ons. This cute butterfly is a punch-out from one of the Journal Cards. I added some gold stitching and some gold tangled thread under my photo.
I fussy cut this title from one of the Journal Cards and added a butterfly rub-on here. They go on so smoothly and look great on patterned paper. I love that the Journal Cards can easily be used on layouts!
I layered these two die cut hearts (from the Mixed Bag) and popped them up and then added a few enamel dots and a word sticker. This fun butterfly was already punched out on one of the Journal Cards, but I cut it out and I love how it looks layered under the photo.
Here’s one more close-up of the bottom right side of the page. I used one of the gold foil arrow stickers from the Everyday Sticker sheet and layered a pretty chipboard heart over it. Every item in this collection is just beautiful, and they all go together so nicely.
Hey there! Today I'm sharing my first layout for Hip Kit Club using the 2015 September Kits, and I am LOVING them all! I couldn't wait to incorporate some of this gorgeous royal blue color into my layout. I used these adorable pictures of my daughter, and they were perfect for these Amy Tan Finders Keepers papers and embellishments.
I started with white cardstock and the Amy Tan Rub-Ons, which are available in the Main Kit. I decided where I wanted my photos and then I traced around them with a pencil. Then I added the Rub-Ons around that area, so I knew they wouldn't be covered up. Next, I used one of the American Crafts small stencils from the May Color Kit along with the Lemon Twist Yellow Paint Dabber from the same kit and created those fun lines on the background. After that, I used some pink gelatos to create a bit of a watercolor look. The rest is layering the adding embellishments.
One of my favorite parts this month is this awesome Elle's Studio alpha stamp set in the Color Kit! I used Archival Ink to create the words LOVE and SMILE, and then I used a few of the Distress Markers from the Color Kit to give them some shading. I added some of the Amy Tan coordinating die cuts, one of the acetate pieces (banner), one of the gold AC arrow paper clips, more rub-ons and a Crate Paper chipboard arrow. I topped all that off with some blue machine stitching. So much going on, but I love how it all looks together.
Here's the right side...a bit of the Amy Tan washi tape (from Embellishment Kit) mixed with more die cut pieces. That adorable camera is a puffy sticker...it's so soft! I couldn't stop touching it...haha! I have more rub-ons here, too. I almost used the whole pack on this one page!
There are so many fun alphas in the kits these month. I combined one of the Crate Paper Wonder chipboard title pieces (Main Kit) with some of the October Afternoon navy blue alphas and the wood grain Thickers. I think mixing and matching the title is really eye-catching and just plain fun. Plus it gives you more opportunity to add more color and interest to the page.
Aren't those stamps so awesome? I love how the background turned out...the mix of yellow, pink, blue and teal came out nicely, I think. I added another puffy sticker, more die cuts, more rub-ons and even a little chipboard bird from the CP Wonder collection.

Happy Weekend, y'all! I have a layout to share for My Scraps & More today. I created it for last week's Mix it Up Monday challenge over on our forums. The challenge was to create a diagonal design of some sort, write your journaling diagonally and to include some triangles. I have been waiting to dig into the new Pinkfresh Studio Happy Things collection, and this triangle paper has been calling my name! I love the colors in it, and so I used about half of it and adhered it to white cardstock. Using only part of a busy paper is a great way to not overpower the entire layout. I added inks, sprays and gelatos to the cardstock and did some stamping with a triangle stamp.
This layout also includes some items from Evalicious, which you can find in the store HERE.
This flair button and yellow circle sticker are from Evalicious. I love all the tid bits you can get...including wood veneer as well. I traced over the white letters on the yellow sticker to make them stand out a bit more.
I used a T-square ruler to draw my journaling lines with a pencil to make sure they would be straight. I also used some of the Dear Lizzy American Crafts stencils from Rise & Shine collection and some Mustard Seed Distress Ink to create the yellow words on the background.
Here is a close-up of the watercolor background. I added more triangles with a stamp. I "stamped off" which means I just kept stamping each time until the ink was off the stamp. It creates a faded look.
I combined the Pinkfresh Studio black glitter Thickers with some American Crafts transparent alphas for my title. I love combining different fonts like this :)
Happy Thursday, friends! I'm sharing my latest projects for The Cut Shoppe today, and to remind you of The Cut Shoppe & Simple Stories Product Swap! I have two layouts using some awesome cut files from The Cut Shoppe and the gorgeous We Are Family collection from Simple Stories!
This collection was perfect for this awesome photo of my Granny's very first selfie :) The whole family celebrated her 90th birthday last month, and I just treasure this picture so much! I absolutely love the I Heart Plaid cut file...this quilted heart is amazing, and it was perfect for this. I enlarged it and backed some of the open spots with patterned paper. I added a bit of gelatos and inks to the background and then stitched through the lines of the heart. I used several stickers and die cuts from the We Are Family line around the photo as well as the alphas.
These papers and colors are so awesome together...I really love the browns mixed in. It really gives it a "homespun" feel. Here you can see the stitching...I love the look of it.
The stickers in this collection are so fun. I combined some of the alphas with the Tall Type cut file. I left the open spots of the "Selfie" open since they were so small.
Here's a close-up of the background. I added in blues, greens and a hint of brown to bring out all of those colors in the papers. I also added in some tangled thread.
One final look at the title area. I love the mix of brown and red...it's such a pretty color combo mixed with the blues, yellows, and greens.

For my second page, I used the Preppy Plaid cut file. I wanted it to be a background element, so I shrunk it down and used some of the blue dotted patterned paper.
I started with white cardstock and some gelatos. I gave the background some yellow and blue watercolor treatment and then adhered the cut file. I layered my photo and papers on top of it, and I fussy cut the heart cluster from patterned paper. I used one of the stickers and combined with the "happy" die cut for my title. This collection was just what I needed for this sweet picture of my little silly family :) These imperfect "real life" moments are my favorite ones to document.
I used some pop dots to raise up the heart cluster, and I think it looks really nice over lapping the photo on the corner. I used my craft knife to cut it. Isn't the plaid so fun? I love how it pops against the yellow ink.
I fussy cut this circle out and layered this cute heart sticker on top of it with pop dots. I couldn't resist adding some tangled thread as well :)
Here's a look at the top of the page. I layered this banner sticker under the plaid cut file and then layered the "happy" die cut on top of it. Layering is so fun! And it gives such a great effect.

Hey there, everyone! I have my weekly layout for Hip Kit Club to share with you today. I used the 2015 August Kits, and they are nothing short of beautiful. I decided to go soft and "dreamy" with this page and scrapped a photo of my daughter sleeping. She was "reading" this big catalog one night and fell asleep with it between her knees!
I used some of the beautiful Pinkfresh Studio paper as my background (in the Main Kit). I just adore that gradient teal color...so pretty. I used the dotted American Crafts vellum (in the Paper Kit) and ran it through my Cameo to cut out some cute clouds. (That is the Happy Little Clouds cutfile from The Cut Shoppe). I stitched with gold thread through them all to adhere them. I used a few of the Project Life cards as layers behind my photo and added several Crate Paper Wonder embellishments around it.
I love these colors together..it wound up being such a pretty color scheme, I think. I added in some teal thread for some extra texture, and I made sure to overlap the clouds so the vellum wouldn't be totally covered.
Gold! Yes, please! These shiny gold Thickers were a perfect fit inside this cloud. I did have to glue them down since I placed them on top of thread. I added in that gold glitter chipboard from Freckled Fawn for a bit more gold :)
This cute wooden scalloped banner is from Pinkfresh Studio, as well as the alpha stickers. I really love how the vellum looks here.
And one last close-up of this gorgeous gold Thicker word...probably my favorite item in the kits this month! I couldn't resist using the cute little bunny and cat pieces on this :)
