Catching up at My Scraps & More

Happy Friday, scrappy friends!  I just realized I have several layouts I created for various challenges over at My Scraps and More, and I never posted them here.  So today is catch-up day!  I have more than these three, but I'll post the rest on another day.

This one was on the blog a few weeks ago.  I used the Be You line from Fancy Pants, and it is a really fun collection to work with.  I love the fun colors, and black mixed in with it makes them pop.  I fussy cut some of the flowers on this sheet (from under the photo...you can't even tell) to add pop dots for dimension.  I've also had those cute little green heart-shaped buttons for a while and they went perfectly with these papers.

For this layout, I used the October sketch.  I used some Crate Paper for this one...I just love the thickness and textures of their papers...they distress so well.  These pinks, greens & yellows are just so delicious!

This one was for a {color} challenge, and I dug right into my MME The Sweetest Thing collection.  These colors....LOVE them!

You can purchase all of these lines at the My Scraps store, and right now, you can receive 25% off your entire purchase!  The new Crate Paper lines just arrived, so head on over there before they're gone!

Have a GREAT day and an even better weekend :)

Artful Delight layout #2

Hey there, everyone!  I'm sharing my 2nd October layout for Artful Delight today.  I had so much fun creating this one.  I really wanted to use the MME sheet of patterned paper numbers, and then I was inspired to create an anniversary layout of my husband and me back in March.  We were headed out to dinner here, and it was fun getting kind of dressed up.

I used a lot of MME's The Sweetest Thing "Honey" line here...it's so amazing!!  There is a little bit of Echo Park thrown in, too.  I used those cute wooden hearts as masks before adhering them.

If you like what you see, you can get yourself one of these kits right now! You can also play along with our October sketch challenge and try to win one.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by :)

ScrapFIT Warm-Up #32

Happy Sunday, friends!  I hope you're enjoying a nice, relaxing weekend.  It has been a pretty good one here...still really hot, but otherwise nice.  We've been in an afternoon/evening rain pattern for a while now, so at least we're staying watered :)

***If you're here for the My Scraps and More World Card Making Day Blog Hop, click HERE.

I wanted to share October's Warm-Up over at ScrapFIT today.  This one is pretty easy.  The challenge is to use either BUTTONS or BOWS or BOTH.  Not too bad, huh?  I love both of them, so I created a page that used buttons and bows.

I was browsing through Michael's the other day with my 40% off coupon, and I discovered this beautiful paper stack by DCWV.  It has so many pretty floral papers, and the colors just jumped out at me.  I knew I had to have it!

If you're the winner of this challenge, you'll be featured in our FITGirl Spotlight later on this month. It's a great way to show off your work and let everyone get to know more about you. Hope to see you over there! Click here to visit the ScrapFIT blog.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to My Scraps & More's World Card Making Day Blog Hop! All of the design team members have created beautiful cards to inspire you. They each worked with a different 6x6 paper pad to show how easy they make card creating. As you hop through the blogs, make sure that you leave some love on each member[s site. After you have seen all of their wonderful work, go back to the My Scraps blog here for your chance to win these paper pads of your own...

I got to play with the My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing "Honey" papers, and they are SO beautiful!  Here are a few cards I created with it. The stamps are also are from the same line of MME products.

The My Scraps team worked with some beautiful card sketches from Page Maps.  You can find them HERE.

Aren't these colors just yummy?  And the patterns are so different, yet they work so well together.  I stamped some flowers (MME) and fussy cut them as well as the stems.  I added some floss & a button for a final touch.

Swing Squeals @ Artful Delight

It's the first Tuesday of October, which means it's my reveal day at Artful Delight!  I think you're going to love this kit.  It's jammed full of My Mind's Eye, which I primarily used on this page.  Not only are the papers amazing, but you also get the matching chipboard embellishments, word stickers & enamel dots!  The colors in this collection are so pretty, and I knew immediately I wanted to use the fly/hexagon sheet for my first page.

This stamp is one of four Prima stamps included in the kit. Don't you love these awesome huge buttons? And the enamel dots? So fun to play with!

These clothespins are also included...I love how they give the appearance that they're holding everything together.

These wooden hearts are also included in the kit. I just added some ink to them. The adhesive buttons are in the kit, too. I added the pink floss from my stash.

I love layering & distressing :)

This page is based on the October sketch...remember, if you play along, you could win one of these fabulous kits!! Check out the sketch...

I hope you play along...you know you'd love one of these kits :) Have a GREAT day!

ScrapFIT Workout #77 - High Flying Flag

Happy Monday and Happy October, scrappy friends :)  I can't believe it's Fall already...it still feels like summer here in Florida!  We're still spending the weekends swimming & playing outside.  I'm looking forward to it cooling off a bit, though.

I'm here to share the latest ScrapFIT workout with you today.  All you have to do it create & include a flag on your project...super fun & easy!  Here's my page...I used papers from Cosmo Cricket's Salt Air line.  I bought it on clearance a while ago and finally decided to dig into it.  These aren't my usual color combos, but I think it turned out okay.

The winner of this workout will receive October's brand new FITKit from Paper Issues!  This kit is filled with Fall fun--a 6x6 paper pack, a mini album & a ton of fun embellishments!

As always, if you don't want to wait to win one of these, you can head on over to Paper Issues right now and purchase one.  You can use the code FITKIT to receive 20% off your total purchase!

Be sure to check out the blog and see what the other DT girls created...so many different projects featuring those cute little flags!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great week!
